#Breaking London Police Service Chief Steve Williams says the three adults and one teen who died after being intentionally hit with a vehicle in London Ontario last night were targeted because of their Islamic faith.
One member of the family who were out waking survived, a young boy. He has serious but not life threatening injuries. My heart breaks for that little boy.
Police say there is evidence this was a premeditated and planned attack.

Veteran Kimberly Fawcett won her battle with the military compensation after she lost her leg and her child in a horrific accident. Senior officials at DND called me repeatedly telling me she wasn't credible and had no case. VRAB found otherwise. globalnews.ca/news/4753763/k…
Fawcett repeatedly stated that the military was treating her different and that gender discrimination played into the military's denial that she was on duty at the time of her accident.
Senior defence officials suggested Fawcett had a political agenda comin forward. She did run for the Conservatives.
It was clearly implied to me she was seen as a complainer. The woman who deployed to Afghanistan AFTER losing her leg and her child.

An update for those who kindly reached out after a very unpleasant encounter with a man who aggressively harassed me on the street Monday, made comments about sexually assaulting me and advanced toward me physically.
Ottawa Police identified the man and spoke to him about what happened. The police told me they made it clear this kind of behaviour is not OK. The police told me they are not laying charges, there are a number of criteria that have to be met and this doesn't check all the boxes.
The police officer I spoke with said if there is one message the police would like to get out it is: CALL THEM when something like this happens. Without a call they can't track if there are larger patterns happening or address it. +1 from me, call the police

It’s still light out - walking down the street. Guy follows me. I slow down. He goes ahead and into a doorframe. I cross the street. He’s waiting in the door frame. Comes out advancing on me and screaming I’m not that pretty and what do I think he’s going to rape me. Just wow.
Thank you to the OPS officer who happened by right after and was amazing.
For women in the Centretown area the guy was wearing a black sweatshirt and baggy black sweat pants. Had the hood up down and a black mask on so I couldn’t see anything but angry eyes. Had a black and white lanyard hanging out of his pants pocket.

In 2016 I started reporting how the chain of command and military justice system let down victims, and allowed perpetrators to avoid criminal charges, plead out or be protected at work. It's 2021. We are still having the same conversations like the 2016/17 stuff never happened
When I first started reporting I got angry calls from the highest levels of the Canadian Armed Forces telling me I was "hurting" the troops and the institution.
Will put together another spread sheet - the ideal Gen Vance told me he had when he created the admin system to deal with sexual misconduct was to fill the gaps where the military justice system wasn't working and that he couldn't change (JAG reports to political authorities)

PM Trudeau says that nobody in his office or the Defence Minister's office knew that the complaint against General Vance was "a Me Too" complaint. On Friday Elder Marques, formerly of PMO, testified he felt it was likely sexual and serious (but did not have solid knowledge).
PM Trudeau gives extensive answer, says the govt is deeply committed to change on this issue. Defends how his office and MND's office handled the issue. PM Trudeau does not answer the question from @mikelecouteur on whether his Chief of Staff, Katie Telford, should have told him.
Mike follows up asking how disappointed the PM is that he did not learn about this concern until this year. "Katie's leadership... is why we call ourselves a feminist govt" re: Katie Telford.
