On 6/15 I told Chris Salcedo some of what we'd learned from Dong Jingwei about China military running Wuhan lab and that other US intel agencies were selectively leaking info to left-leaning sites to proactively discredit info Dong would bring fwd. redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
I first wrote about Dong on 6/4 and it didn't get much traction. After my 6/11 article which gave more specifics, the NY Times just happened to catch up w/Wuhan's "Bat Woman" on her mobile for an "unscheduled" interview pubbed on 6/14. nytimes.com/2021/06/14/wor…
Also on 6/14 GMA ran a preview of that day's "Nightline" episode-ABC *finally* wants to find the origin of the COVID-19 virus. While there was some attempt to seem fair-handed, the Nightline segment is getting out talking points of the Langley apologists. abc.com/shows/nightlin…
Then on 6/17 I appeared on @TheFirstonTV with @slaterradio. He started the interview asking me abt the blowback from CIA types and my bold statement that I stood by my sources. I directly called out the misinfo efforts. My portion is 40 min in: thefirsttv.com/watch/full-sho…
Abt 4 hrs later the Spy Talk piece appeared, naming the defector and giving his position - the first time this info was publicly declared. Obviously someone w/an agenda leaked it there, prob hoping to deflect or sow doubt since they slammed RedState as "weaponizing" the truth.
They had no exclusive information in there; Dong Jingwei's name was out on Chinese Twitter but they tied him to my story. (No, I'm not rewarding them with a link.) I verified w/my sources that the DIA defector was indeed Dong and got even more detail abt the info he provided.
Bear in mind that on 6/11 I pub'd that Dong provided info showing PLA control of Wuhan lab (ABC News now admits having evidence of PLA $ to Wuhan) and genome sequencing of SARS-CoV-2, which allowed a Stanford virologist to conclude that it was engineered. wsj.com/articles/the-s…
On 6/17 I pub'd a story confirming Dong's identity as DIA defector and the laundry list of info he had. Again, immediately trashed by Spy Talk, John Schindler, and the pro ex-spook community, but you'll notice a shifting narrative over the last 2 days... redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
After they used a CCP Press Release claiming Dong was in China on the 18th to attempt to prove my story false, they now say the Dong defection could be true, but that details of my story are off. One WaPo writer is now claiming that Dong is prob the defector he wrote abt in 9/20.
Now a couple of outlets are claiming Spy Talk broke the story, which is hilarious since their original purpose was to paint RedState as a "pro-Trump website" to discredit us. It's obvious they know they can't quash the story so they want the credit and to control the narrative.
I'll have more up about this story today, and I'll add to this thread when I do. But until then use this as a guide to the discrediting pattern used by the media and National Security apparatus. cato.org/commentary/how…

🧵Today LA County Judge Yolanda Orozco ordered Katie Hill to pay approx $84,000 in atty fees I incurred when she frivolously sued me for truthfully reporting abt her unethical sexual relationship w/an employee and illegal drug use.
Unfortunately, my legal fees were about $35,000
...more than Judge Orozco awarded me – b/c my entire career at stake, I retained the best attys I could find. I'm now on the hook for that balance, and Hill will be playing the victim again.
Despite Hill's claims, the publication of the photos included in my story and in the Daily Mail’s story weren’t “revenge porn” but were matters of public concern and covered by #1A, as Orozco ruled when dismissing Hill’s case. Many legal scholars on both sides of the aisle agree
Is anyone gonna ask her about the staffer she was having an "inappropriate" relationship with? Who was, despite what her attorney said in court, STILL ON THE PAYROLL when I published the story?
Is anyone gonna ask her about her former District Director, who tweeted this yesterday?
Torn between just staying home with my dog and going to a friend's birthday party and laying by the pool with an adult beverage. Only reason I'm torn is b/c it involves people. People that I like, but just not in a small talk mood. 1st time I'll have seen them since F died.
I'm out the door. Might not stay long but at least I'm going.
1. The city has a $500M reno project scheduled for the PUBLIC SPACE. 2. ⬆️This is not a random "eviction." 3. In 1/2020 StreetWatch LA+DSA blocked a cleanup of the crime-ridden encampment, emboldening them abc7.com/echo-park-home…
4. For the past 3 days homeless service providers have been at Echo Park Lake offering services thru Project Roomkey/Homekey. 5. Many of the residents have rejected services. 6. Mitch O'Farrell's ofc has already placed 100 ppl who were living at lake into safe housing/shelter
7. More than 4,000 Echo Park residents (not the homeless) signed a petition asking O'Farrell to find housing for all homeless ppl at #EchoParkLake and for the city to clean up the park so all can enjoy it 8. Violent crime, sexual assault, and drug OD's/dealing are rampant
Is Biden really gonna try to scold us now? Get out of here with that BS.
We have to laugh at this ridiculousness any time it's presented. Right @RoxanneForAD46?
There are lots of heartbroken families in Los Angeles these days whose murderers aren't being sufficiently held accountable because of @GeorgeGascon@LADAOffice. What are you going to do about that?
Oh, now we're gonna claim there's a rash of attacks on Asians that aren't reported? Got it. You're full of crap, Biden.
