Here is my #Pride story:

I grew up in a loving family. I have 3 sisters, and they are my best friends in the whole world. My parents and grandparents were educators. They taught me everything I know about music and the arts. I am a proud product of a public school STEAM education. #Pride2021 #pride

Put myself through law school. Fought my way through the good ol boys club when women weren't allowed to litigate on the courtroom floor. Now, I run my own successful firm as a trial lawyer. Been named @DMagazine's Best Lawyers in Dallas 3x. I'm also 2 term TX State Rep. #Pride

I married a brilliant doc who fought her way through the same good ol boys club. She's now a partner in her own successful practice. She just published her first novel. She was also the 1st same-sex partner in TX history to serve in the Legislative Ladies Club. #Pride #Pride2021

We have 2 beautiful, talented boys — the loves of my life. We adopted them before they could speak English. At 1st, they struggled w/the American education system, but today both are at colleges of their choices pursuing their own dreams with passion. We're so proud. #Pride2021

I can't wait to see what the next chapter has in store for me, but no matter what it may be, my story is written in #pride.
