According to the Washington Post, U.S. officials have relayed to #Iran thru diplomatic channels that it will respond forcefully to rocket attacks, even if no Americans are killed or injured. Biden's red line on these attacks is a stark difference to his predecessor. In the --
previous administration, the Secretary of State and Secretary of Defense made it clear that their red line was the killing of Americans as a result of rocket attacks from #Iran-backed groups in Syria and Iraq.
Biden's stance is significantly more tough.
A U.S. official said to the WaPo that it has a responsibility to demonstrate that attacking Americans carries consequences, even if the attacks don't inflict casualties.
The official said, "If you attack us, we are going to respond."
Senior Biden officials believe that the previous administrations red line did little to deter the wave of rocket attacks on U.S. facilities that spiked during 2019-2020. The shift in policy is aimed at deterring both lethal and nonlethal rocket attacks.
Just recently the U.S. carried out retaliatory airstrikes targeting Iran-backed groups in Iraq and Syria. It resulted in a response of approximately 30 rockets towards a U.S. base in Syria. The U.S. responded at the time with counter-battery fire, but personally I feel as if --
the U.S. will carry out an additional retaliatory strike that is separate from the artillery fire that occurred at the time of the attack. No U.S. troops were injured or killed in the rocket attack.

"Grave incident" has happened in North Korea due to a lapse in anti-COVID measures says North Korean state media. (Yonhap)
Kim Jong-un said via state media that a "grave incident" had happened that could threaten the safety of his people and country. Kim accused senior officials of neglecting their duties in carrying out measures important to thwarting the spread of COVID-19.
Neither KCNA or Kim Jong-un himself elaborated on what the "grave incident" was.
Like when the U.S. struck Iran-backed groups in Syria and Iraq, I'm going to start this thread for rumored information, please refer to the quoted tweet for confirmed bits regarding the incident.
