If we do not understand the money story, we are likely to get everything after that wrong as well.
In a world whee capital serves the wealthy and our local communities are left in Ill repair because capital deemed it unprofitable, a Federal Job Guarantee makes communities come back to life. Federally funded, locally administered. It is the ultimate pushback against bad wages.
It also prevents corporations from subsidizing poor wages with cash subsidies by providing a living wage with benefits and local, environmentally friendly care work and community improvement. Why give into Silicon Valley oligarchs who want to turn us into consumption units?
Now to hire you, a company has to meetorbeat the living wage of the Fed Job Guarantee and that includes benefits. They cant predate on the vulnerable & the community benefits. Locally administered, federally funded.

If you want a basic Income, you have one. Social Security which serves for disability and survivor benefits has been unkempt because the lie of Trust Fund funding the program. It's a spreadsheet. FICA could be eliminated. We could expand social security to meet society's needs.
