Righting History: The Journalistic Battle of January 6th

My friend and true compatriot, David Sumrall, is a great American. His ultimate mission is to very literally STOP HATE. You can tell he plays the long game.

stophate.com
2) If you go to his website (or just click here) you'll see a movie his new movie called "Righting History: The Journalistic Battle of January 6th" It is a very painful, very difficult film to watch. Only 37 minutes, you should force yourself to do so.

rumble.com/vi0ye9-rightin…
3) As many of you know, I don't watch very many videos. David knows this too, so he reached out to me yesterday and requested that I watch his. Grudgingly, I told him I would. He's not the kind of friend I can refuse over such a request. It is HIS film. So I had to watch.
4) By the way, David is still present here on Twitter, @HelpStopHate. If you don't follow him, please do that right now.
5) David also directed me that he needed my response and input. He and I have worked together on various projects since 2018, if I recall it right. We discuss strategy and analysis in almost every encounter. It should be obvious that I could NOT refuse that request, either.
6) I watched the film this morning and then composed an email with my response. After sending it, we spoke, and David read my email analysis out loud over the phone, so we could cover each of its points together.
7) What will follow, shortly, will be a slightly excerpted version of that email. First, though, I'm going to give you the bottom line right now, for your consideration. You may want to watch the film first, before reading my analysis of it. Spoiler alert has been sounded.
8) Our cause was righteous. Yet, the other side has, so far, completely won the Journalistic Battle of January 6. How can that be? As they so often do, they have stolen the high ground from us. They do so with but a single word: Insurrection.
9) Every American has the right of PEACEFUL assembly. No American has the right of violent protest. What the Left has successfully accomplished is called 100% control of the narrative. That means our challenge is to COMPLETELY DISPROVE their charge. Stay with me on that.
10) Usually, I talk about the HIGH BAR of Law, and the LOW BAR of the Court of Public Opinion. In this case, the bars have inverted their position. At Law, all we need is reasonable doubt. In this case, in the Court of Public Opinion, we require absolute proof.
11) In such practical tasks as getting out the vote, the key is to speak to your supporters such that they're motivated to take action. You need not address the other side, at all. That's an important point. Yet, it too is inverted in this case.
12) The American Left completely believes Trump led a rebellion against this nation. In this case, where the Left's mission was the usual one, persuading its own people, ours now is to persuude them. Our people are already persuaded. It is the Left we must speak to, now.
13) So, we must PROVE that our January 6 was not only NOT an insurrection, it was 100% PEACEFUL and LEGAL, and completely covered by our Constitutional Freedom. That's a very hard thing to do. It is our most important strategic mission today, and it offers no room for failure.
14) Here's my last point of introduction. Let's talk about personal style for this mission. We must speak softly, but with 100% confidence. If we yell and attack with verbal violence, we destroy the credibility of our message. Thus, we must simply state the following two facts.
15) One: We did NOT rebel. Trump did NOT lead an insurrection. This is another lie used to attack us, wrongfully.

Two: Our assembly was absolutely PEACEFUL and LEGAL as protected by our Constitutional Right.
16) The power of soft, declarative, factual statements is something we too often fail to enjoy. We are baited and become verbally violent. They defeat us the moment we accept the bait.

An Italian saying will help:

NEVER accept what your enemy offers you.
17) My own great rule of swordsmanship will help, also.

NEVER Flinch
NEVER Pounce
18) Speak slowly. Embrace the Sniper's Law:

Slow is smooth, smooth is fast.
19) You must be ready. When you make these simple, declarative statements, those on the other side are 100% certain to pounce with the most vicious attacks. There won't be much need for logic, they're not good at that anyway. They'll just swarm and attack, attack, attack.
20) But you must be ready for the minimal basis of logic they are certain to employ.

They'll say, "All I see is violence. It was your assembly. It was a rebellious insurrection. You breached the Capitol Building. You are just lying like you always do." And so on...
21) We might follow out the coming exchanges much further, but must leave that task for another time. One of the best things you can do before you're ready for more advanced debate, is simply to vacate the attack. I'll explain.
22) It looks something like this.

"Certainly, you have both the right to your own opinion, and the right to challenge mine. I apologize that I can't answer your attack better than my simple denial as refutation. Yet for today, denying your point is all I'm ready to do."
23) After shocked amazement - a beat's worth - they'll explode on you that you can't do that. You have to stand behind your position. The failure to do so is to actually prove their point right. Etc. Until ready, simply do not engage, don't take the bait.
24) If you haven't blocked or been blocked by this point, you bow out of the conversation like so. "I imagine we'll return to this debate soon enough. For today though, all I ask is you consider that I might be right in the points I have expressed."

That's it. Bow out.
25) I'm going to take a short break now. When I come back in just a few minutes, we'll turn to my email response to David, for your consideration in viewing his film and joining us in our mission to reclaim victory in the Journalistic Battle of January 6.
26) Back again, let's pick up with two points from above, quickly. First, reclaim victory? Absolutely yes. It was the greatest peaceful assembly in American history, following the greatest landslide election victory in American history. We must and will RECLAIM these wins.
28) I talked about the current High Bar of Proof in the Court of Public Opinion and that we must provide this proof absolutely to the Left. There is a nuance here, though. While we must provide incontrovertible proof, we still won't actually persuade them of the truth.
29) Victory will be when they merely doubt their current certainty. But as scissors cut paper, we must have absolute proof in order to merely win doubt. Now we turn to the detailed quotes from my email to David.
30) "The most important point I have to make is this. I am able to view this with a left-leaning eye and can imagine easily all its evidence being used to validate their “narrative.” Let me say that another way.
31) "Looking to understand the evidence you present I'm not able to establish clarity over who is whom, who did what, why and was there any wrongful intent in the crowd. I can detect the presence of instigation on the other side’s actions. But I cannot do so with perfect clarity.
32) "Also, the visual presentation grows very difficult at times, that is, difficult to follow. For me, the 3 screens, all filled with difficult to understand action, make the case harder, not easier to follow.
33) "But then, there are the narrators, and they’re a wonderful gift. Their clarity is calming and helpful.

"To my ear and mind, though, we don’t hear enough of you. We hear Tamara at her best, but not enough of her voice, either.
34) "So…I strongly recommend you consider adding almost a continuous running narration. Each sequence with no narration should be up for consideration. I’ll come back to that.
35) "I don’t know if it would be possible to write up the actual story, frame by frame, and provide that alongside the video documentation. The time stamps you offer are excellent. But...
36) "...it’s hard to remember where we are in any given moment without their being the equivalent of a clock. The logic of time is simply SO critical, and even with the timestamps you do give, I still get lost in time, if you follow.
37) "Now, let’s get back to the question of narrative mentioned above. As it stands, January 6 is the greatest asset the other side holds, and they hold it with virtual ownership. Sure, there are millions of us who don’t believe their story. But...
38) "…they have so successfully silenced us that our beliefs are almost meaningless. Actually, there’s another point I must make, and then I’ll again return to this one.
39) "I do judge the day as having suffered a true leadership failure on our part. We lost the moment, that day, and a huge part of the reason why is that we were unorganized and that means either bad, or even worse, no leadership on the ground.
40) "I do judge the day as having suffered a true leadership failure on our part. We lost the moment, that day, and a huge part of the reason why is that we were unorganized and that means either bad, or even worse, no leadership on the ground.
41) "By leadership I mean simply someone in position to guide the actions of the crowd the same way any military commander would lead his unit. Nonviolent protest places an even greater burden of leadership than does all-out combat. That, by the way, is the real line.
42) "Did the crowd come with 100% perfect nonviolence as their dedication? We have the right of PEACEFUL assembly. Was our crowd imbued with that spirit so that it would be unbreakable?
43) "And did we have leaders on the ground who knew how to face violent attack and provocation with a pure, nonviolent response? This I do NOT see.
44) "And it is the violence that occurred that the other side was 100% ready to make the pivotal point of their narrative, their interpretation of the day. Their ability to do that 100% succeeded. I believe they instigated.
45) "But I also see that we were NOT ready to meet their instigation with greater discipline, organization, coordination, etc. In other words, we have no plan. We had assumptions, but not a plan. Let me ask, have you studied Gene Sharp’s work, From Dictatorship To Democracy yet?
46) "Chapters 6 & 7 walk through the critical need for strategic planning. The entire short book is beyond 100% mandatory reading and study. A short attack might center on chapters, 1 & 5 – 7.
47) "If these chapters are read with January 6 in mind, you’ll be able to see the failure as it is happening, depicted in your film.

"We did not have either the right plan or the right discipline to win that day. We must face that we lost it…so far.
48) "And that brings me back to narrative, and control of the narrative. YOUR FILM CAN REGAIN IT FOR US.
49) "Confession. I have not read Burn’s book, nor watched the movie The Deep Rig or Mike Lindell's. I don’t know how much either of their works center on January 6, confessing how - FOR NOW - we lost that day.
50) "A story has to have an anchor. One key point that everything else, all details and movement in the story, always support and point toward.
51) "In all my work for General Flynn, I always came back to his innocence, and to the evil benefit – cui bono – that his enemies sought by painting him guilty. Again and again, I returned to his good character and flawless integrity. That was the anchor.
52) "In all my work following November 3 until January 20 when Trump handed over the keys to the White House, I had a single anchor. The election was stolen.

"The anchor to YOUR story MUST be, we were a PEACEFUL, NONVIOLENT ASSEMBLY, 100% protected by the Constitution.
53) "It is that anchor that a new voiceover, to fill in clarity of understanding frame by frame must be added. If we do NOT take control of this narrative, our odds of victory in coming battles plummets.

"Again, strategically that day we failed to have proper leadership.
55) "Tactically, along with additional voiceover work, a time stamped frame by frame elucidation of the events – and that elucidation MUST establish, it must PROVE our 100% nonviolent, peaceful and therefore completely legal right of free assembly.
56) "Their narrative is based on the single anchor of “insurrection.” If we are to take charge of this story, it is that which we must 100% disprove."
57) That's the work David and I did today. The telephone conversation was amazing. David is more than just brilliant, the speed of his mind and the depth of his understanding is only exceeded by the power of his patriotism. Yeah, I love this guy.
58) On that note you'll want to head over to Tamara Leigh's site:

tamaraleighllc.com/articles/gener…

She doesn’t know it yet but I’m hoping today’s analysis will be posted there soon. Also David and I will talk about Flynn’s vision as well as David’s film, in his liftoff podcast!
59) We'll post the details about how you can watch or listen to our very first interview. I really am excited. Besides, David's star is on the rise, and I am absolutely thrilled to hitch my wagon right there. Oh yeah!
60) I sure do love analysis. Don't you? I believe we need every one of our 1,000s and 1,000s of brilliant analysts pounding out the work. We have America to save and to hand down to coming generations. I say, let's all get to it.
Thread ends at #60.

America Within – How We’re Winning Back Our Youth

Who remembers Publius of the Federalist Papers? For us today Publius has always been James Maddison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamilton. Who remembers that Top Paine's anonymous name was "An Englishman?"
2) Why is this important, right now? Anonymity, the right to speak anonymously, is one of the almost forgotten cornerstones of America's most important freedom, the right to free speech. When in danger of repercussion, Americans may speak anonymously.
3) Consider that in reality, Clark Kent is an anonymous identity for Superman, who would never be accepted in his everyday face and required an anonymous cover. So also with Spiderman and Peter Parker. The list goes on. Anonymity is a thing, friends.

Independence of Body, Soul, Heart & Mind

I believe in the human soul. Not a metaphysical believer, nor do I believe a soul is immortal. Rather, it is obvious to me that a body is motivated by a soul, an animating spirit. A soul is meant to be free.
2) So sadly, a soul can be crushed, its light dimmed, even while the body lives on. I believe this is why zombies are so popular. They represent a human body without a soul. They reflect alienation, the burning out of the human spirit.
3) On this day, 245 years ago, our forefathers cried out in their horror, demanding to keep body and soul both together and free. The evils of kings bore down upon them threatening to deaden their souls while enslaving their bodies. Grasping for life, they rebelled.

The Local Patriot’s Required Reading List – v 3.0

If you're a book lover, then you always knew that this list would end up growing. I knew it and have manfully resisted this inevitable growth. And that brings me to our key point for today. Image
2) America started out as an idea. This idea had a long history, dating back way past Magna Carta (completed in 1225 AD). It dates back to the ancient rights of Englishmen, long before there even was an England.
3) Long, long before that, the idea that became America sprouted in ancient Rome and Greece. I assure you, every founding father, every Constitutional framer, read countless books following the history of this grand, forming idea.

Evil Creates Good

Where were you on 9/11? I was in Punta Sam, Cancun Mexico. As I watched the two towers fall, I knew something. I knew that the terrorists had overreached. Their success would be their undoing. I said as much to @KateScopelliti.
2) On 3 November 2021, the same thing happened again. The Democrats established themselves, not as a terrorist outfit, but as thieves, election thieves. They stole the greatest election landslide in American history. I told @KateScopelliti they'd rue the day.
3) From voting precincts to school districts, the number remains, conservatively, about 100,000. In each, control is a political, which is to say a voting battle. We now know that it is these precincts and school districts that matter most.

The List Plus One!

After months of intermittent, chaotic effort, I got a phone call from our local Republican Party Chairman, and he was awesome! That inspired me to read this book by Dan Schultz and you should too.

amazon.com/Taking-Back-Yo… Image
2) I'm sure I'll end up reading everything Dan Schultz has published. Silly me, you all probably know him from his visits to Steve Bannon's War Room, and other such fame and contribution. In case not, here's his website:

precinctstrategy.com
3) If you check it out, Dan published this book in 2010. It's more a pamphlet than a book at just 47 pages. The case is simple, yet profound. It is built on American Revolutionary logic. Here is the logic:

Citizen = Sovereign
Elected Official = Hired Servant

The Meaning of General Flynn’s Story So Far

Since Friday, I've posted 3 threads resulting from a profound conversation with General Flynn on Thursday. Today's will be the 4th. Here's the link to the first. It's important.

2) In case, like so many, you'd enjoy hearing Patrick Gunnels read that thread out loud, here's his recording:

odysee.com/@ReadingEpicTh…
3) As a result of the post above, a couple of friends of mine expressed an honorable challenge. The question of Flynn's relationship to Turkey arose. It's a concern many have, no matter how strongly they support General Flynn. Here was my response:
