It's not the worst of it. We currently have 3M people in the UK with no photo ID, 11M with no passport or driving license and we're going to exclude them from voting because of 34 allegations of impersonation in 2019 under the laughably called "Electoral Integrity Bill"
Then we have the Nationality and Borders Bill which undermines the Modern Slavery Act and then we have ... oh, it's a catalogue of horror. Something is very broken with our system.
On the upside - despite the Government getting to decide who can vote, treating citizens like property and curtailing any rights to protest - if you're a statue then you can look forward to new protections from any unwanted toppling.

Me : I do not know. However, the discussion needs to be had. Similar to the whole "Me" vs "We" discussion. I suspect some form of checks and balances needs to be strengthened, maybe even some form of sortition to create a more representative system.

... if you want to counter that then either you'll have to become better at the narrative and politics or you are probably going to have to build a movement which means finding those key principles that matter and people can rally around. Not easy.
