This is actually a core tenet of Daily Wire conservatism.

Knowles has been guilty of this brainless argumentative strategy in the past. But despite his best efforts to torpedo conservatism as an idiotic political philosophy: a genuinely interesting and thoughtful version of conservatism exists, even if it isn't currently ascendant.
The reason I find it important to challenge this flattening of conservatism into Rush/Ben-style toxicity is because (a) I believe there's a conservatism worth defending and (b) the Rush/Ben style is ultimately ruinous to a serious and responsible right-wing political culture.
