Let V be the formula that reps a products value its user

So V has multiple inputs
> Cost
> Ease of Use
> Scalability
> Functionality (aka it does what the user needs)

Instead, inputs only are scaled or multipled by #scalars or floating point nums

Thus:
V(..inputs) = {
A*Cost +
B*EaseOfUse +
C*Scalability + ...
}

Now that V is abstractly def'ed, here comes the toughest part:

Determining the coefficients A thru however many there were needed

Lets assume we can determine proper coefficients

Next, we need to assign each candidate a score in each category

Then we use a ranking approach

Rank all candidates within each category

Thus, V is simply a summing formula for which candidate has the lowest overall rank, assuming we golf score this b**** and #1 is king

@RickHunter7 @catedempsey Its really easy in a 2 candidate system since the rank could be treated as 0 or 1, for whether that candidate "won" that respective category

Then V is instead just a quantitative number of which candidate won the most categories
