Varna is based on "Karma".

It can be from past or this life.

Our timescale is way different than west.

Hence it is most futile to debate on whether Varna is by birth or not. The moment you do so, you have to understand "Quasi Cyclic Time."

Death isn't full stop for us.
"Birth" & "Death" become significant factor in "Linear Time" not in "Quasi Cyclic." They are the two ends for "Linear Time."

In "Quasi Cyclic Time", they are just a node on cycle.

The process of interchange of Varna can keep occurring based on the action.
That action can occur anywhere and result too can occur anywhere. It may be before or after multiple nodes of death & birth.

In fact, Varna interchange too might happen multiple within a single cycle of "death & birth."
Wherein every interchange of Varna too can be perceived as a new "birth" & death.

It is not necessary to see birth only as a biological process as known. Birth can be various kinds so can be the death.
When we try to interpret the Shastras for logic around "Varna", then it is effected by non-intelligence about "Time".

Most of the interpretations and discussions are based on "Linear Time." Less emphasis is laid on "Quasi Cyclic Time".
The moment one removes this Abrahmic-Western Lens of "Linear Time", they will find this debate around, if "Varna" is by "Birth" or not will seem to be most futile.

Absolute wastage of time. In the grandness of philosophy that talks of "Kalchakra", this fight is pettiest.
You are too keen to talk about "birth" & "death" as parameter about "Varna".

But how sure are you that you have interpreted the word "Birth" & "Death" really as our Acharyas meant to write?
Many have missed the moot point.

You have to first define "Janma" & "Mrityu". If it is defined as western "Birth" & "Death", you confirm to the "linear time" & just take away the USP of Dharmik Values, which lies in "Quasi Cyclic Time".
Bound to happen, when you don't understand a single "term" but want to respond.

What does "Varna" mean?

You exist as a man or female, so it this gender difference, a discrimination? Is a kid getting "PCM" stream for better cut-off a discrimination?

Ok! Well, you chucked first question. That’s fine, now please answer what is a “Janeu”!

Maybe you can use word “Jati” or “Varna”. We aren’t European, hence “Caste” doesn’t apply!

How beautiful it is to see abuse in each of your tweet but no answer ₹ clarity!
Heard that you are professor or something!
But fail to even understand a basic thread.

This thread has assimilated diverse opinion about “Varna” just by using the most unique feature of Hindus: Quasi Cyclic Time!
Again chucked the 2nd qn too.
No answer what does “Varna” & “Janeu” mean!

If surname is discrimination, why study genetics? Why study peopling in world?

Btw, if you are so much against caste discrimination, why not vouch against reservation based on it, & bring on economy?

Ramanujan must be laughing at the likes of Ashok Swain, saying, "Choosing to study Humanities wasn't your choice but a compulsion."

Hate for Hindus is immense & the mocking of the Hindu Interns at #NASA has exposed it big time.
Then the likes of @ashoswai could have called #NielsBohr a Sanghi Associate for he said:

"I go into the Upanishads to ask questions."
But those murky people like Swain, would only chose narratives peddled by likes of Zakir Naiks for whom believing in #HinduDivinities is #Haram & they will go gaga around fake stories of Islam given Algebra and other BS.

KalyanSingh was quoted in the @EconomicTimes that he had a meeting with MulayamSingh post resignation. He had also said that Yadav is a friend all options are open in politics.
Mulayam had open fired at Ram Bhakts. In politics none can come absolute clean sir. Let's not do it.
This isn’t right time to crit BJP even during such a grief situation. Kalyan Singh ji’s situation is bringing lots of pain to many but there is no point opening records in binaries which had never political reasons. Both Kalyan Singh & ABV are imp personalities for RJB.
There is no point throwing mud on other while one struggles to keep good health now.

That is how they declare victory!

Quasi Cyclic Time & connection with biology, from where conversation began can only be understood if you are clear about"deliverance",which is explained by Dr Raju.

You never said what it meant, but you took the generic notion assumed by west.
He shouts that source wasn't given. I did cite the name of Dr CK Raju, & everyone knows about his magnum opus works.

Fools must learn that source doesn't mean link or exact book name. Source often comes as(Raju, 2002),which is elaborated in bibliography.
"Hindu Apologist"? You don't have such term kid.
Abrahmics have it because there is no other way in that system. It is always one way.

In Hindu notion, there are diverse school of thoughts. Even Quasi Cyclic time was rejected by Lokāyata.

Hilarious claim by handle @Mughal_imperial knows nothing about Turkic & Mongolian people, but has such name.

Firstly, irrespective of whether "Khan" is Turkic or Mongol, it is not Indian.

Secondly, Persian lang has roots in Sanskrit & Persians are indeed our RigVaidik brothers.
Coming to word "Khan" first.

As per records, it was first used by Xianbei people (3rd Century ).

Source: "ONCE AGAIN ON THE ETYMOLOGY OF THE TITLE qaγan" by Alexander Vovin

Any idea @Mughal_imperial who were Xianbei ? Image
The Xianbei were nomadic people that once lived in what is today Mongolia, Inner Mongolia, and Northeastern China.

So, yes, "Khan" has origin from the land of Mongols.

They spoke the Yeniseian lang. Image

Question is simple! Then why Muslims want to marry non-Muslims?
That’s exactly the answer. Hence, Muslim converts the girl to Islam before getting married. Hence #lovejihaad
Haha ha! Liar!
So when the guy starts getting in relationship with a non-Muslim girl, he already knows that girl will convert?

If not why initiate relationship with non-Muslim if it’s an ambiguous chance? Or Muslims guys have meter to check, who is going to be convertible?

1/n #SadarPranam to Ishvara within you @Ram_Guha Ji!

Sárasvatī is not mythological but a true river as per latest scientific explorations.
Hence many Historians began to use terms for IVC:

A)Sarasvati Civilization
B)Indus-Sarasvati Civilization
C)Sindhu-Sarasvati Civilization
2/n The Historians I'm talking about are:
1)Upinder Singh
2)Charles Keith Maisels

& few more.

So @Ram_Guha any idea why they are saying so?
3/n Michel Danino makes a very strong case for Harappan Civilization being Vaidik in nature and also gives historicity of Sarasvati in his book "The Lost River - On the trail of the Sarasvati" published in 2010.

@GeneralBakshi also makes strong case in his book.
