If you are COVID positive, or have a loved one affected by COVID, @weareyuvaa is hosting a FREE session with a clinical psychologist in collaboration with @MindPeersCo.
This is a 'safe space' session for 18-26 year olds to be able to express whatever they are going through in this tricky time. If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, sad, lonely, isolated during this time.. please come, share, listen, with help from a psychologist ❤️
Since the pandemic began, a lot of citizens raised their voices online to try and hold our governments and media accountable to doing better by us in this time of crises.
Here's what we were countered with online:
Do we know how the money we donated to the government funds is being used? Is it being used to build medical infrastructure?
"Don't spread negativity"
Should we be allowing such massive crowds in cricket matches? Should we be opening up stadiums in Gujarat for people to gather in such huge numbers without any social distancing?
It's a disgrace how our politicians treat our farmers.
In COVID, our farmers were on the frontlines, making sure we don't go hungry, at the risk of their lives. And today, we are unwilling to even hear them out - and are tear gassing them!
SHAME on us for not standing by them.
Why have we become a country that's scared of merely listening to/having a dialogue with our own citizens? Isn't that what leadership means? Isn't that the job of a government in a democracy that is supposed to be 'of, for, by' the people?
Why is our response ALWAYS aggression?
If the very bills meant to address or solve the problems of a group of citizens, are being opposed vociferously by those very citizens, then who is the bill for?
And if the government believes its bill is misunderstood, why is it opposed to peaceful talks with its stakeholders?
What we are seeing play out with the #Tanishq ad has long been coming. Since the British, many-a-government has tried 'divide and rule' for its votebank, but it is the genius of the current political machinery that creates news cycles to keep us busy hating each other.
2/ The previous governments did elaborate PR to appease minorities (while not actually caring about them), which pushed the majority towards a severe persecution complex. Our present government has seized the opportunity to capitalise on that by feeding into this irrational fear.
3/ It's the genius of our current political apparatus that keeps us outraging over smaller issues, while there is no one to hold the government accountable on ANYTHING.
Wait, did China say that it doesn't recognise the 'illegal Ladakh UT'? Not sure, but I'm livid about Tanishq.
Congratulations to Adi sir and @yrf, a place I called home for 4 years, and that gave me the best opportunities, most creative freedom, and kindest working environment in my professional career.
I owe a lot to YRF and I made friends for life there. Hope it continues soaring :)
Congratulations to all the lovely people who make up & have made the many parts of the studio, who are the closest I've come to knowing what a 'work family' can feel like.. when everyone comes together for doing good work, but with utmost respect and love for each other. #YRF50
Don't know if there's any legacy studio in the world who had the kind of image that YRF has had, and that would have still allowed us to do what we did with Y-Films online. I am so very proud of Bang Baaja Baaraat, Ladies Room, Man's World, Pappu and Papa, and 6 Pack Band #YRF50.
