1. GB - IE travel update:
As of 19th July, travel arrangements will change for fully vaccinated travellers from GB to IE. Please visit gov.ie/en/campaigns/7… for full information and please be aware that the Covid-19 pandemic means that guidance may change at short notice.
2. Before arriving in Ireland, all passengers will still need to complete the Online Passenger Locator Form. This will be checked by your air or sea carrier before departure. gov.ie/en/publication…
3. Fully vaccinated travellers from GB to IE will not need a pre-departure PCR test or to quarantine at home on arrival. You will need proof of being fully vaccinated – NHS Covid Pass, vaccination status letter or paper vaccine card will all be accepted.
4. People who are not fully vaccinated will need a negative pre-departure PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Ireland. 14 days home quarantine will apply but a negative PCR test taken from day 5 after arrival can end your quarantine. ➡️ gov.ie/en/service/f4a…
5. As of 19th July, this is also the case for children aged 12 and over (i.e. PCR test and home quarantine requirements apply as above)
6. As of 19th July, children under 12 will not need a PCR test prior to travelling to Ireland. More guidance on home quarantine requirements for under 12s will be provided on gov.ie in the coming days.
7. Individuals travelling from Great Britain to Ireland via Northern Ireland should also complete a passenger locator form and follow the relevant guidance above.
8. Covid-19 means that the situation continues to be fluid and travel rules may be subject to change at short notice. We advise checking gov.ie in case of further updates before travel.
9. Further update - children of any age, travelling with accompanying vaccinated or recovered adults will not be required to self-quarantine post arrival. However, where one accompanying adult needs to self-quarantine, then all children must also self-quarantine.
