I’m glad that Philadelphia Commissioner Al Schmidt, a Republican, seems to oppose Mastriano’s efforts bc Mastriano is closely connected to the insurrection. But Schmidt is not exactly impartial re ES&S, & this cld get really ugly. 5/
Philadelphia uses ES&S BMDs. ES&S’s lobbyist made donations to Schmidt and the other Commissioner who ignored expert advice to choose this system. “In total, ES&S spent more than $425k lobbying … Philadelphia…” 6/ nytimes.com/2019/11/30/us/…
