(1) I've been watching this guy's video clips for a while & I find them very thought-provoking & informative. He's left wing so ofc I don't agree with his pols BUT I care more about information than ideology now.

Folk need to understand: TFG has NPD.

(2) In this video about TFG's long-standing thinly-veiled dysfunctional attitude toward women, Christo Aivalis makes some really sound arguments for inferring from behavior and comments over several years that TFG is indeed a misogynist.

Now, I would add that:
(3) The cause of his misogyny (and other stuff) is that he almost certainly has NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) and probably some other PD-related issues too.

IMO it's absolutely essential that Americans understand this about him & some of his children, too.
(4) The damage already done by this one NPD, will go on for decades after he dies. Further damage must be urgently prevented and mitigated.

Voters and the public must become better educated, fast, about the current situation in the USA. Foreigners like me, too.
(5) I suspect that some of his adult children might have PD like he does, as there is a genetic component to it, and childhood environment is also a huge factor.

Don Jr clearly is a substance abuser. That is obvious.
(6) Don Jr's life so far has been like his father's in many ways. Unable to achieve academic, business or political success on their own, they benefited from a coercive family system that has best been described for us by his estranged cousin, NYC psychologist Mary L Trump.
(7) After Ivana& DT separated & divorced, their 3 kids were in their mother's sole custody for extended periods of time. Their father didn't care about them, esp. the boys. Then one day they became useful so he made more of an effort to be a Dad.

Don Jr hardly sees his 5 kids.
(8) The gossip is that Vanessa Trump kicked out Don Jr for cheating on her. Either way, Don Jr's life was more settled during their marriage & we saw no outward signs of drug abuse. Even Hillary Clinton when asked for one thing she admired about TFG said his kids turned out well.
(9) While married, Don Jr had to find time for 5 kids, Vanessa, the Trump Org, & political campaigning. There's no way he cd do justice to them all.

Post divorce, he added in (the increasingly weird) Kim Guilfoyle & upped the politics. I doubt he's spent much time on Trump Org.
(10) It comes as no surprise to those of us who've spend time with an addict that Don Jr's drug use increased in recent years. Or that he would have aged so much in his appearance. He seems oblivious to how obvious it us. Most Americans say: At least Hunter Biden went to rehab.
(11) OK thank you for tolerating the tangent there, lol.

DJT Sr is a misogynist bc he has NPD. I doubt he ever felt love for his 3 wives, or for his children and grandchildren. Showing affection is different. You can do that without feeling love, and every NPD does it daily.
(12) IMO the policies enacted during the Trump admin were not misogynistic, or even sexist against women. You can argue that opposing legal abortion is sexist, but that is core Republican policy these days and any POTUS candidate has to toe that line, at least partially.
(13) Anyway, yes ofc he is a misogynist. His attitudes toward women are clear in his words, actions, & omissions over his lifetime.

He adored his own mom, of course. That's often a feature in men who grow up seeing their mom abused by their dad.

She was ill when he was a kid.
(14) Mary Trump developed a serious illness & her husband was callous & unsympathetic to her in her hour of need. This affected the kids, naturally.

To understand DJT, study his father. You will then also understand Don Jr.

I hope young DJT III breaks the cycle.
(15) Outside of the remaining Trump cult membership, it's crystal clear that the entire adult DJT family is very close to being in personal legal jeopardy for long term white collar crime at the Trump Org.

Many onlookers speculate that least the 3 eldest kids will be jailed.
(16) We're learning more about Daddy's Favorite Ivanka.

She is admittedly, smarter than her two brothers. (I leave minors out of all this.)

But she has made some bad judgment calls, to say the least.
(17) I think Don Jr & Eric are being set up by their "dad" to take the fall for him. We'll see in time if it works or not, right?

Ivanka & daddy would throw each other under the bus to save themselves. I never saw that until now.

I bet she changes her name to Kushner one day.
(18) It's possible that the indictments could also include Jared Kushner, Tiffany, Vanessa, Melania, her parents Victor and Amalia Knauss, and all manner of others caught up in it.

They ALL had a chance to alert the public at the right time. They chose not to.
(19) Also, I have some free unsolicited advice for anyone employed in a Trump Org company (there's hundreds of companies.)

Start looking for another job. Those companies are going to go broke once govt takes over the assets. Get out while you can with your reputation intact.
(20) Even before state and federal government seize the assets, with Don Jr & Eric at the helm, & no Allen Weisselberg to help, the assets will only decline in value.

The better ones like the designer golf courses will be snapped up for a song by smart investors.
(21) TFG isn't remaining in politics just to soothe his insatiable ego or keep swindling followers of their money. He's doing all he can to support a far right domestic terrorist movement to position it for another coup attempt, or five.

Americans must stay alert to the threat.
(22) And it's time to focus one's energies on the biggest issues not the also desirable but less life-threatening ones.

I'm talking about saving human lives, and saving the life of American democracy. Because the latter is needed for the former. And not just in the USA.
(23) I propose these priorities:

>Maximizing voluntary vaccine uptake AND the social distancing protocols we all needed before the vax were available.

Because <12s & certain sick people CANNOT get the vaccine. They need the social distancing protocols. A big group of people.
(23) Next priority IMO is

>Keeping and adding to the individual voting rights that Americans have died for multiple times since 1776.

Americans must do this, urgently, because the Republican party's* clear intention is to further erode those constitutional rights.
(24) I always add the caveat that not every elected Republican in DC is part of that plan.

Cheney and Kinzinger are no part of the anti-democracy garbage. About 20-30 others have at times joined them in standing up to TFG.

Details here: accountability.gop/report-card/
(25) At the Orlando CPAC event in February 2021, TFG read out the names of 17 US Reps and Senators who had most recently stoop up to him.

He has put a mark on their backs, no different to when an Ayatollah issued a fatwa on author Salman Rushdie in 1989. Do you remember?
(26) Everyone who wasn't old enough to understand what was done to Salman Rushdie (who now lives in the USA) should google and learn about him.

TFG is the beloved leader of a domestic terrorist movement & his goons will try to kill again, make no mistake about that.
(27) The signs are obvious, to anyone willing to step out of an ideology-based belief system & assess objective facts.

Moderate libs, & mod conservatives (like me) can see the signs of extremism in the far right & far left.

It's harrowing to realize it for the first time.
(28) IMHO, the far left is not anywhere near as dangerous as the far right is in the US atm.

True, crimes have been committed by the far left, & in the proper jurisdictions they're being investigated & addressed.

In recent years, no one on the left did anything like 1/6.
(29) In summary, it's all connected. The pandemic responses, voting rights, the radicalization of the Republican party, and the riot in the seat of the federal government on 1/6. Look beyond TFG to the wider issues.

My priorities are:
(30) Top four of several urgent priorities:

1. Vaccinations
2. Voting rights
3. Holding accountable every person who contributed to 1/6
4. Containing & shrinking the far right extremist threat.

Educate, educate, educate.

(1) Thread: US Covid vaccination rates.

Dr Ranney works in emergency medicine, so she is on the frontlines of this pandemic. Listen to her comments below.

I was countering anti-vax lies for years before the Covid pandemic started, so this problem is nothing new to me...
(2) Many people seem to forget that this pandemic was declared a national emergency, and it will remain that way for at least another year, maybe two.

So trying to help people learn the facts about vaccines is way more important than it otherwise would be.
(3) In the current context, the idea that your view on vaccine safety has no impact on anyone else is quite a stretch.

Yes you can decline it for yourself. That's not the issue I have with the spreading of anti-vax lies. It's the people affected who can't make that decision.

If TFG was watching the 1/6 riot on TV upstairs, he should have been in the Situation Room by then.

When he had Covid, reportedly his Dr said if you don't walk to the car to go hospital we will have to take you there on a gurney.

Same situation: They had power to force him.
IMO he should have been compelled to go to the Situation Room immediately. Who could do this? Secret Service, or USMC, or even civilian officials.

We now know parts of the Secret Service (which is part of DHS) were compromised.
And I'm revising a position I held later in January about the 25A.

Pence's letter about it made sense to me at the time. But knowing what we know now, I no longer see it that way. Image

(1) This will go down in history as a major Presidential Address from Biden.

I look fwd to reading the transcript and commenting here. Meantime, watch this short, factual video about voting rights & why they matter so much. To everyone.

Video:
(2) ICYMI somehow, I am (proudly) #ExMAGA and #ExGOP because 1/6 and its aftermath was the last straw.

During my time inside the cult, I learned the talking points on voting rights that are used by both sides.
(3) So, when I make time to read Biden's transcript I can show you what each side will be saying about it, and why.

The other day I found out that VP Harris supports both voter ID and competent policy analysis (my profession) work being done about it.

(1) The pandemic is triggering events like this worldwide.

Those who say "share the vaccines with all" do not realize how that would work in practice.

If the US becomes unable to afford to send aid to its existing recipient countries, those countries will be even worse off.
(2) Even if every "spare" vaccine in the world was re-routed to countries that don't have enough, it still would not prevent the existing and coming catastrophes.

And there is a sound logical AND ETHICAL case for not doing that, too.
(3) I'm saying this from a country (NZ) that is way behind on it's own vaccine program and is vulnerable to a large number of preventable Covid deaths if the next 90 days don't go well.

So I hardly have a vested interest against such countries.

(1) Rep Steve Scalise is in the news today regarding a scrap over domestic terrorism by people on the far left vs domestic terrorism by people on the far right.

Here are the facts. Image
(2) That photo is of Scalise with the two heroic USCP officers who got injured saving his life. They literally took a bullet for him, as all USCP are prepared to, for all elected members, even after 138 of them were injured by a far right MAGA mob on 1/6.
(3) You would think, that after a 5 month stay in hospital learning to walk again, and multiple surgeries and life threatening post op infections, Scalise would be among the first to stand up for all LEOs who served on 1/6.

Nope. He did nothing for them. Image

Main reason I want healthcare workers with access to me to have to show their vaccine status? Tells me whether or not they understand science enough to be qualified for the job.

I will #GetVaccinated soon (NZ is slow.) Folk like me don't have a "99% chance" of survival.
BTW, I highlighted diabetes as a COVID complications risk factor but there are many other medical reasons I am in this category.

This is why I've taken Covid seriously since Jan 2020 when I first heard about it. I was also predisposed to trusting scientists over politicians.
People with health or disability issues (esp when long term) have to learn about medical science in order to stay alive. We have to educate everyone around us who could help increase or decrease our survival chances, often including healthcare workers who should know better.
