Breaking! Sacramento Superior Court will hold a hearing this afternoon at 2 regarding our client, voter Betty Chu, suing over the CA Secretary of State refusing to include ⁦@larryelder⁩ on recall ballot over allegedly incorrect redactions —something SOS can correct herself.
Regardless of who you support for Governor, can we all agree that the role of @CASOSvote is to present an accurate list of candidates who met the qualifications — not “bring me a shrubbery!” pettifoggery? Let the people vote!
Should be available to the public live at Department 23’s YouTube link —…

(Thread 1/4): Joined @CortesSteve and @JennPellegrino on @newsmax this evening - @GavinNewsom’s little band-aid bill is not going to make a difference towards crime. What is going to make a difference is if we stop electing ridiculous prosecutors who refuse to enforce our laws.
(2/4): Just like with #RecallGavinNewsom, billionaire money is funding the wrong side of recall efforts directed at prosecutors like @GeorgeGascon.
(3/4): The racial impact of #CriminalJustice issues is felt most negatively in low income and middle class communities. In San Francisco for example the violent crime wave has disproportionately hit the older Asian immigrant population.

The hearing in the Larry Elder and voter Betty Tom Chu matters (my firm represents the latter) may be seen here:
2/ Judge opens hearing with a tenative ruling that the tax return disclosure requirement doesn't seem to apply to recall elections, and if it did, Larry Elder substantially complied with it.
3/ Elder's lawyer Steve Baric says even if the statute applied, Larry Elder's alleged sin was providing seven pages of COMPLETE documents to the SOS, but those documents were not in the pile of hundreds of pages of redacted documents. He complied with the statute.

(Thread 1/4): With @Varneyco on @FoxBusiness - This political hit job against @POTUS45 is the kind of third world nonsense we see in countries like #Pakistan where former presidents are taken down using petty offenses. Well beneath the dignity of New York prosecutorial offices.
(2/4): #Arizona's voting limits do not violate the voting rights act nor do they hurt minorities. Ballot harvesting hurts every #American equally. The 9th circuit got this one wrong. I am thrilled to see this victory for #Election integrity.
(3/4): #Florida's social media law was struck down in part because of vague language. I found the exceptions for Florida based companies like @Disney and @comcast to be a little dubious. With some more work and wordsmithing this could become a great law.

(Thread 1/4): With @TuckerCarlson on @FoxNews tonight - Our government regularly flouts modern security laws established in 1947 & since. They justify spying on #Americans in the name of targeting foreigners and classifying any #American data they scoop up as “incidental”.
(2/4): Under current law, the @NSAGov can go shopping through a treasure trove of phone company data w/little oversight. Once they have your information, faceless, unelected bureaucrats are free to pass it around the office
(3/4): Even if you can prove you are being spied on, there is no legal recourse. No lawsuits against the @NSAGov have effectively been successful in stopping the spying on a particular #American citizen. Cases can last for over a decade.

Many lawyers have publicly states that “Jeffrey Epstein didn’t kill himself.” That is a comment on the administration of justice in New York. Should a lawyer be subject to bar sanctions for challenging the state’s position? #RudyGiuliani
Some lawyers have said John McAfee didn’t kill himself — is that disbarrable? It’s a comment on the administration of criminal justice involving US federal charges.
Some lawyers are arguing regarding January 6 that their clients are innocent while the government claims they are guilty. If the clients are convicted, or the facts advanced not accepted, should the lawyers be disbarred? Suspended while the bar figured it out?

James & Ginger Staake are American artists who started a company to make & sell patriotically-themed flag art. But PayPal decided to mess with their business by taking customer money, & not releasing it to the Staakes, thwarting order completion/delivery.
2/ so they contacted the Center for American Liberty - - @Liberty_Ctr -- which just sent Paypal a letter detailing legal claims and threatening suit. You can read about it here:… and see the letter here:… ...
3/ Should PayPal & its ilk be able to discriminate in the performance of their contractual obligations, tortiously interfere with contracts, and misrepresent their business policies whenever they don't like what the customer is selling, even though they keep taking the money?
