The way some of these so-called progressives talk about Black women is very telling. It’s not enough to demonize Shontel Brown or a Black woman that grew up in #OH11 but now Nina Turner’s supporters are disrespecting her dead mother? These folks are a whole ass mess.

This is not even the first time a member of the Bernie adjacent fauxgressive left criticized a Black woman for the temerity of discussing their grief over their dead mother.

This is a thing with them. Apparently if you're a Black woman talking too much about yourself, your Blackness or even your family is "weaponizing your identity." Being unapologetically Black apparently is not a goal to strive for as "class solidarity." 🙄

Again. This is a thing with them. Not only are these folks quick to argue "weaponizing your identity" is wrong for Black women particularly when their policies have "harmed African-Americans."

Brie Brie been arguing this for yrs. Black folks are "derailing" class progress because we "fetishize" race and identity. She argues we don't need to tackle racism first or at all as long as class prevails the rising tide lifts all boats and trickles down

Again we find Briahna Joy Gray and Krystal Ball arguing Democrats "weaponized empathy" to essentially kill Bernie's platform. Apparently people telling personalized anecdotes about racism, grief or heartbreak is beyond the pale if it doesn't support #M4A.
