All hell broke loose in a Jan 6 hearing today. Judge got fed up with an “anti-masker” defendant. My latest reporting ===>
I should add: His lawyer told the judge wearing the mask is too “stressful” for Goodwyn. And the lawyer apparently sent an email calling a court employee “arrogant” and “prissy”. This was a hot mess! Judge yelled at lawyer .. and laid down the law on Goodwyn too
And... there’s this. Feds say Goodwyn *chewed* through his mask during arrest. And destroyed others
Judge has ordered competency exam for Goodwyn

ALERT - US Justice Dept prosecutor just told DC judge the feds will need til 2022 to provide all of the evidence ("discovery") needed in Jan 6 case of Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, accused Nazi-sympathizer who allegedly harassed police at Capitol

Ton of evidence & Cusanelli is jailed
"The bucket of evidence is enormous", per federal prosecutor

They warn of challenge to review and transmit evidence in usable format......
Judge hits back hard at prosecutors for arresting and seeking detention of Hale-Cusanelli considering Cusanelli is not accused of violence on Jan 6 and has no criminal history.....

Prosecutor responds violence and damage was due to "hundreds of people doing it together"

HEADS UP: Federal judge in DC has just cited "active political disputes" over the 2020 election and the protest by Members of Congress outside the DC jail yesterday (where Jan 6 defendants are being held) as a "concern" to court as it handles Jan 6 case
Judge said it was a factor in keeping some court restrictions in effect in Jan 6 case of Alex Harkrider, who's accused of being inside Capitol with tactical vest and baton
Federal prosecutors cited Donald Trump's ongoing "false claims about the election" and insinuation that "he may be reinstalled in the near future as President" as reason to keep Harkrider under restrictions

Harkrider's case is worth watching

Last month, the feds cited ongoing baseless statements from Donald Trump as reason to hold Harkrider under court restrictions til trial

Let's see what judge says today
Feds say Harkrider was part of crowd pushing against police.. and was inside Capitol with tactical vest and baton

He's on home confinement, but wants restrictions eased

Standby for update
Defense lawyer explains why Harkrider wants court to loosen its restrictions..... saying "Mr. Harkrider would really like to do some volunteer work"

ALERT: Court schedules emergency hearing in Jan 6 case of Dan Goodwyn, possibly to order him jailed until trial

Goodwyn is accused of refusing to meet w/ pretrial services, refusing to wear mask at meetings and playing "word games" w/ court employees

In charging documents..... feds allege Goodwyn used Trump picture for his Twitter profile pic... and promoted "Stand Back & Standby"

Goodwyn is trying to avoid being thrown back into jail for failure to follow court restrictions

Defense lawyer: Goodwyn is being asked to do things that, from a mental health standpoint, he can't do

Court appearance NOW for Matthew Purse of California in Jan 6 case

Feds allege Purse falsely claimed to be a member of media while amid the mob... including with his noteworthy helmet ==>
Prosecutors ask Purse to surrender his passport and subject himself to "location monitoring"
Defense just compared this case to petty offenses (such as trespassing on federal park lands) in seeking to spare Purse from having location monitoring

Justice Dept prosecutor hit back hard... saying this was not a "petty offense"
