A lack of glass and packaging materials (from the paper for labels to the crowns that sit on top of bottles) are also causing disruptions for liquor sellers. There are also new taxes imposed on European and Canadian products entering America.
There's also a shortage due to fermentation tanks being repurposed to make hand sanitizer during the peak of covid, and health departments declaring total losses for these tanks, as there's no legal way to go back to them producing consumables.

One of the oldest methods humans have used to deal with hardship -drinking spirits- may not be available for a most crucial time period in which those who lost jobs, homes, and incomes due to GOVERNMENT MANDATED shutdowns are forced to deal with the fallout.
And we're just seeing summer heat peak as places in Oregon, Colorado, Ohio and others have seen record high temperatures this past week. Heat, homelessness, unreasonable govt covid mandates, and no liquor to ease sorrow for those down and out is a recipe for disaster.
