OLYMPICS PREVIEW THREAD - DAY 11

A huge day for Team GB tomorrow with eleven medal chances - 6 or 7 guaranteed or strong - and a super busy morning. Plus Biles is back.
Again most of the GB action is in socialable hours. Overnight there is only an outside chance for Abigail Irozuru and Jazz Sawyers in the women's long jump (2.50am). Pretty open competition but more than three in the field have jumped further. 400m hurdles men's final at 4.20am.
The sailing begins early are today's postponement. Outside chance for Charlotte Dobson and Saksia Tidey in the women's skiff at 4.30am. Followed by a much better chance for Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell in the men's skiff at 5.30am.
Then Giles Scott tries to retain his Finn title at 6.30am - he is guaranteed a medal and in first place going into the medal race. At 7.30am John Gimson and Anna Burnet are also guaranteed a medal in the Nacra-17 medal race are sitting second at the moment.
Then we scoot over to the veledrome where the women's pursuit team go in their heats at 7.44am to decide if they get to go for gold at 9.26am. They were second in qualifying today. The men's pursuit team will be going at 8.43 to see if they can get into a medal race on Wed.
And we get a first look at Jason Kenny's form as he tries to become Britain's most decorated Olympian. He'll be in the team sprint qualifying at 8am and, hopefully, the final at 9.44am. Dutch are the strong favourites for gold but last competition was 18 months ago.
Meanwhile at the pool James Heatly and Jack Laugher will have hopefully qualified for the 3m individual diving final at 7am in the 2am SFs. They qualified 4th and 6th place into the SFs. Chinese the favourites as ever.
And then at 9am in the last gymnastics appearence for a Brit we have Joe Fraser in the parallel bars final. He is world champion in the event but that was a low scoring final. He'll need others to falter to win a medal tomorrow.
At 9.50am Simone Biles will be going on the beam. If she wins it will be the story of the games. It will be a nerve wracking watch.
And GB boxers are back in action - Caroline Dubois (4.50am) and Galal Yafai (9.30am) try to guarantee another couple of medals by getting to their SFs and then at 11.05am Pat McCormack goes for gold in the welterweight final against Roniel Iglesias of Cuba.
Then it's the evening session of the athletics with 3 Brits in the 800m women's final at 1.25pm. Keely Hodginkson and Jemma Reekie in particular have perhaps GB's best shot at an individual track medal. Then it's the 200m final Dina should have been in (1.50pm).
And alongside all that the showjumping begins (11am) and we get a first look at climbing in the Olympics with the men's competition (9am).

Phew. Exhausting just thinking about it.

OLYMPICS PREVIEW THREAD - DAY 13

Just four days left - we're into the home stretch. A quieter day tomorrow but still plenty of interest around.
We have another nightime swim marathon. Hector Pardoe going for GB at 10.30pm. Not considered to be likely to get amongst the medals.
Then the overnight athletics session includes women's 100m relay rounds (2am) - will Dina compete for GB? And the 110h final at 3.55am with Andrew Pozzi going for GB. Grant Holloway the big favourite.

OLYMPICS LIVE THREAD - DAY 12

The big news overnight is that our youngest Olympian SKy Brown is now our youngest Olymplic medalist. A bronze following an incredibly brave third run in the final despite falling on the first two.
The gold and silver went to Japan. Kokona Hiraki, the silver medalist is 12! All the medalists combined were only 4 years older than Katherine Grainger when she won her last medal in Rio.
Fraser Clarke has just lost his superheavyweight boxing SF - with the cut above his eye opened illegally in the QF opening again. He gets a bronze. That's medal 45. GB's women lost their hockey SF against Holland and will be in the bronze medal match.

OLYMPICS PREVIEW THREAD - DAY 12

After a terrific Tuesday GB have a couple of guaranteed medals on Wednesday plus a bunch of other chances amongst a whole range of sports.
If you fancy a nighttime watch the women's swimming marathon starts at 10.30pm featuring Alice Dearing, the first black woman to represent GB in a swimming event. Not amongst the favourites but it's usually a pretty open event.
In the early hours our two stakeboarders finall get underway with Bombette Martin (15) and Sky Brown (13) going in heats in the Park event from 1am. Final at 4.30am. Sky in particular has a good chance of being in the medal mix.

OLYMPICS LIVE THREAD - DAY 11

Well that was an exciting morning of sailing. Two more golds for GB but both of them on the finish line. Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell in the skiff and just now Giles Scott retained his Finn title.
Fletcher and Bithell won gold by literallly a couple of centimetres. Scott had to go past a couple of boats on the final leg and somehow managed to. 6th consecutive Finn gold for GB - our longest run in any event. Sadly it isn't on the Paris schedule.
Hannah Mills and Elidh McIntyre have guaranteed another sailing medal for tomorrow in the Women's 470. Looks likely to be another gold. Fallen out of the medal places in the Men's 470 though.

OLYMPICS LIVE THREAD - DAY 10

Not a huge amount to catch-up on overnight but lots coming up in the next few hours...
In the athletics Laura Muir and Katie Snowden made it into the 1500m SFs. Beth Dobbin into the 200m SF. Nick Miller into the hammer final. Sirfan Hassan - going for the 1500/5k/10k treble fell in her 1500 heat and ran 200m round the whole field from 50+m back to win. Ridiculous.
Sailing's been called off due to lack of wind so those medal chances are delayed. Coming up:

Cycling: now
Gadirovas on floor: 10am
Athletics: 11am
Emily Campbell/Laurel Hubbard weightlifting: 11.50am

OLYMPIC PREVIEW THREAD DAY 10

As we move into the second week the GB focused action moves later in the morning (thank god I'm exhausted). Relatively quiet day on the medal front tomorrow before a potentially very big day on Tuesday.
Tomorrow's best chances are in the eventing which comes to its conclusion with the team showjumping at 9am and the individual at 12.45pm. GB sit top of the team competition and Oliver Townend / Laura Collett / Tom McEwen in 1st, 3rd and 6th place individually.
We also have a good chance in the men's skiff medal race at 7.33am where Dylan Fletcher and Stuart Bithell currently lie in 2nd place. Charlotte Dobson and Saskia Tidey sit 5th for the women's skiff medal race at 6.33am, having lost a good position from earlier in the week.
