1. The Biden administration claims it lacks the legal authority to extend the CDC eviction moratorium, which expired Saturday.

It says a Supreme Court ruling prevents them from extending it.

This is absolutely false.

2. A group of landlords sued the CDC over the eviction moratorium, put in place during the Trump administration

A federal district court found that the moratorium was unconstitutional but the ruling was stayed

The landlords appealed to the Supreme Court

3. The Supreme Court voted 5 to 4 to leave the stay in place. Which allowed the CDC moratorium to continue until it expired on July 31.

So what's the issue?

The White House is focusing on a concurring opinion by Justice Kavanaugh.

REMINDER: Just a few weeks ago the entire conservative media (and some of the mainstream media) was praising DeSantis’ strategy of pretending COVID didn’t exist as a political masterstroke
How many Floridians have contracted COVID while holding an official DeSantis “Don’t Fauci My Florida” beer koozie?
DeSantis has gone well beyond ignoring the problem. He is actively trying to obstruct anyone in Florida — businesses, schools — from addressing the problem

1. Biden's claimed that misinformation about vaccines on the platform was "killing people"

Facebook responded with a flurry of statistics that it claimed proved the company was "saving lives."

So I decided to take a closer look at these statistics.

2. The main stat that Facebook used was " 2 billion people have viewed authoritative information about COVID-19 and vaccines on Facebook."

But I've found that Facebook has used a version of this stat since APRIL 2020, long before vaccines were available

3. Further, "viewing" information - true or false - doesn't mean much. The question is how Facebook INFLUENCES people's views on vaccines.
