The infrastructure deal is a historic investment in:
- Public transit
- Passenger rail
- Bridge repair
- Clean drinking water

One in five miles, or 173,000 total miles, of our highways and major roads and 45,000 bridges are in poor condition.
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal will repair and rebuild our roads and bridges with a focus on climate change mitigation, resilience, equity, and safety.

Last Friday, President Biden welcomed members of the Cuban American community, Senator Menendez, and Congressman Meeks to discuss how the United States will continue to stand with the Cuban people and ensure that their voices are uplifted.
Today the President will sign an Executive Order that sets a new, bold target to make 50% of all new vehicles sold in 2030 zero-emission. The executive order also kicks off the development of long-term fuel efficiency and emissions standards. 1/5

With a multibillion dollar backlog of repairs, America’s transit is severely neglected. The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal invests $105B to make repairs and upgrades, modernize bus and rail fleets, increase station accessibility, and bring transit service to new communities. 2/10
The Bipartisan Infrastructure Deal goes further than just repairing the infrastructure we already have – it also invests in reducing our public transit's carbon footprint by replacing thousands of transit vehicles, including buses, with clean, zero-emission vehicles. 3/10

1. Weatherization — The deal will invest a historic $3.5B in the Weatherization Assistance Program, reducing energy costs for more than 700K low-income households.
2. Wildfires — The infrastructure deal invests $8B in wildfire risk reduction by providing funding for community wildfire defense grants, mechanical thinning, controlled burns, the Collaborative Forest Restoration Program, and firefighting resources.
3. Flood Mitigation — The infrastructure deal includes $12B to boost coastal resilience, fund FEMA flood mitigation grants, and better mapping.
