I'm discussing “Implications of IPCC AR6 for Global Supply Chains” with The Supply Chain Technology Collective. Today, Aug 9 at 19:30 EDT in @clubhouse. Join us! clubhouse.com/event/MOp46l85
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change Sixth Assessment Report (IPCC AR6) is available here. Probably easiest to start with the summary for policy makers.
Here's an article by @EricHolthaus that summarizes the most important issues. | The era of 'rapid' climate change has begun: Here's what the new IPCC report says, and what it doesn't, about the most important moment of our lives. thephoenix.substack.com/p/the-era-of-r…
Btw, Eric has written a book on this topic. | The Future Earth: A Radical Vision for What's Possible in the Age of Warming harpercollins.com/products/the-f…
We'll be talking about how we'll experience climate change in our day to day lives as individuals. Also, what might happen to industrial supply chains, what technology investors are doing as a result, and may be we can also get into what governments are doing too.
Human activity is causing climate change. All human activity is driven by supply chains. We can’t solve the climate crisis until we refashion global, man-made supply chains so that they cause less harm to the environment. This will require a transformation of unprecedented scale.
