NEW: Mesa County's GOP Clerk Tina Peters is appearing at MyPillow founder Mike Lindell's Cyber Symposium promoting President Trump's false election rigging claims. Smith's office is under criminal investigation for a voting systems breach that gave passwords to a QAnon figure.
"They came and raided her office on the way here," Lindell yelled. "This is the hill to stand on!" Lindell accused Democratic Secretary of State of committing crimes in investigating Mesa County's voting systems breach.
Clerk Peters is accompanied on stage by Sheronna Bishop, a GOP activist & former campaign manager for Rep. @laurenboebert. Bishop accused Secretary of State Griswold of allowing voting system passwords to get out. "Under this communist regime, we are all suffering," Bishop said.
Clerk Peters, Bishop, and Lindell are incredulous that Secretary of State Griswold did not give the Mesa County elections office a heads up prior to an order directing them not to access their voting systems until the breach was investigated.
This thread replaces a prior thread that had an incorrect last name. I apologize for the error.
"I am still being persecuted," Clerk Peters said. "What they (the media) try to do is shame you."
Clerk Peters is alleging that investigators from the Colorado Secretary of State's office were doing something nefarious when they inspected voting systems in Mesa County today. "Doing what kind of little doo-doo with my machines," Peters said.
Boebert's fmr campaign manager Sheronna Bishop is alleging that Colorado voters can print ballots at home. This false claim was made by Megyn Kelly on Fox News in 2014. politifact.com/factchecks/201…

Clerk Smith teases that more information about Mesa County's voting systems is coming on Thursday's session of My Pillow guy Mike Lindell's Cyber Symposium.
Colorado State Rep Ron Hanks (R-Penrose) is now speaking at Mike Lindell's event. "Lying media and yellow journalism is causing the division and the hatred and the threats here. We have to get through the membrane of this evil and knock it back,” Hanks said.
Rep. Hanks was present in Washington DC during the January 6th insurrection by Trump supporters. Hanks said he did not enter the Capitol. He blamed the storming of the Capitol on Antifa and said he hoped foreign intelligence agencies would prevent Biden from taking office.
Lindell is now suggesting, without evidence, that there were 25,000 fraudulent votes in Colorado because of a cyber attack from China.
"This is going to change the course of history," Lindell said. "You can't go back once communism is here." Clerk Peters replied, "That's right."
Lindell is railing against Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems. "Dominion sued everybody but me," Lindell said. wsj.com/articles/domin…
Clerk Peters has turned her attention to criticism of the COVID-19 vaccines, upset that she was recently asked at a business whether she was vaccinated. "What happened to HIPAA?" Peters said. apnews.com/article/fact-c…
It's not clear what, if any, legal counsel Mesa County Clerk Tina Smith received before appearing at the MyPillow guy's event while her office is under investigation. Her spokeswoman said she was advised on the matter by the District Attorney. The DA said that's untrue.
District Attorney Dan Rubinstein told me he's had no contact with Clerk Peters and his office has opened a criminal investigation into the voting system password breach. Peters' spokeswoman did not respond to questions about why she claimed otherwise.
DA Rubinstein also said that the Mesa County Attorney was representing the interests of the county commissioners, not Clerk Peters, on this matter.
Searching for a new live feed. Lindell is still speaking with Clerk Peters on stage but Right Side Broadcasting Network staffers have cut away to extoll the virtues of MyPillow products, specifically "the green one."
Lindell claims that Denver-based Dominion sued right-wing networks Newxmax and OANN today because of his event. "They did it this morning, right before we went on," Lindell said. nbcnews.com/tech/security/…
I regret leaving my DMs open
Clerk Peters says a year and a half ago, SOS Griswold "wanted to come in and take over my office and threatened me." It appears she's talking about when she wasn't allowed to oversee her own recall election for leaving 500 ballots in a dropbox outside her office.
The attempt to recall Clerk Peters failed to gather enough signatures to make the ballot. gjsentinel.com/news/western_c…
Lindell's Cyber Symposium is done for the night. Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters promises to be back Thursday with new information on Dominion. Meanwhile, her office remains under criminal investigation for a voting system breach that allowed a QAnon figure access to passwords.
I note that twice above I wrote Smith (the name of the man next to the clerk) instead of Clerk Smith. I'm sorry about that. Not sure why that mental block persisted.

NEW: Odd twist in an odd story. The one about a county clerk whose office is under investigation for leaking Dominion voting system passwords to QAnon. Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters' office said the district attorney advised her not to speak about this. I asked the DA about that.
21st Judicial District DA Dan Rubinstein says not only did he not speak to Clerk Peters or anyone in her office, he confirmed he's opened a criminal investigation into the allegation that the voting system was compromised.
The DA tells me that he did give county commissioners a courtesy heads up that search warrants may be served on county property. Clerk Peters' spokeswoman has not responded to my questions about why she claimed the DA was advising her on this situation.

NEW: Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters (R), an election rigging conspiracy theorist, has been ordered to turn over evidence related to a security breach where her office's voting systems passwords were leaked to QAnon figure Ron Watkins. #9NEWS #copolitics
Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold (D) says the leak "constitutes a serious breach of voting system security protocols" and has ordered Mesa County to provide chain-of-custody and security information.
Mesa County spokeswoman Stephanie Reecy declined to comment. "Confidence in the election process is paramount to Mesa County. Because this is an active investigation, the Mesa County District Attorney asked that we do not comment until the investigation is
complete," Reecy said.

Maybe it’s obvious and I’m being dense, but can anyone identify the flag in @dedelaugesen’s photo from the Capitol?
The green, white, and red flag.
A few of you say it’s the old flag of Iran under the Shah. At the risk of learning an answer I don’t want to know, why would someone be carrying the pre-1979 Iranian flag at an uprising at the US Capitol?

NEW: @RepDianaDeGette, speaking on House floor, “This man (President Trump) is dangerous... he has invited sedition.” @RepBoebert speaks next beginning her remarks with “Glory to God.” Boebert is yelling. #copolitics #9News
Boebert: “I call bull crap when I hear Democrats calling for unity. They are only united in hate.”
DeGette’s larger point was that the President did not learn and change his behavior after his first impeachment. Boebert’s larger point was difficult to grasp. Something about how a Democrat who didn’t condemn looting over the summer is responsible for the Capitol insurrection.

Twitter isn’t all bad because Mark’s randomly-offered blueberry barbecue sauce in the smoker turned out fantastic.
Smoked it on peach wood. I cut the blueberries and tomatoes by 1/3 based on what I had on hand. Did mustard seed. Swapped red wine vinegar for apple cider vinegar. Did jalapeños smoked on mesquite and frozen instead of habaneros. Forgot to take out the garlic. It was a journey.
