Are you one of those Muslims who get upset and defensive when non-Muslims and atheists accuse Muslims of being obsessed with sex?

Let's consider the translation of the Qur'an - 78:31-33 is a good example in this case.

thread >
78:31
إِنَّ
indeed
لِلْمُتَّقِينَ
for the righteous
مَفَازًا
success

78:32
حَدَائِقَ
Gardens
وَأَعْنَابًا
grapevines

78:33
وَكَوَاعِبَ
And splendid companions
أَتْرَابًا
well-matched,

78:34
وَكَأْسًا
and a cup
دِهَاقًا
full.
Word-for-word translation:

78:31 Indeed, for the righteous, success!
78:31 Gardens, grapevines,
78:31 And splendid companions, well matched,
78:31 And a cup, full.

Simple, and straightforward.
Now consider these traditional translations:

78:31 Indeed, the righteous will have salvation—
78:32 Gardens, vineyards,
78:33 and full-bosomed maidens of equal age,
78:34 and full cups ˹of pure wine˺
(this is a new translation by Mustafa Khattab)
78:31 Indeed, for the righteous is attainment
78:32 Gardens and grapevine
78:33 And full-breasted [companions] of equal age
78:34 And a full cup
(Shaih International)
78:31 Lo! for the duteous is achievement
78:32 Gardens enclosed and vineyards
78:33 And maidens for companion
78:34 And a full cup
(Pickthall)

Pick any traditional translation and check, please.
QUESTION

HOW IN THE WORLD did they get from "splendid" to "full-bosomed" and "companions" to "maidens", when in 78:31 God does not specify any gender for "the righteous", if they were not obsessed with sex?
And what would happen to the people who read and live by these translations without thinking?
One obvious question would be - since men are getting women with big boobs, what are the rewards for women? do they get men with big dicks?
Or, if women were not addressed in 78:33, are they not rewarded?

What is so *wrong* with sticking to the straightforward translation of "splendid companions"?

Isn't it attractive enough for men to believe in the Qur'an? perverted fucks.
And you, reading these translations... did you never stop and think?

What is wrong with traditional Qur'an translations?

Here's the Arabic: وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا (78:33)
Phrases: وَكَوَاعِبَ (And splendid companions), أَتْرَابًا ( well-matched)

Translation: And full-breasted [companions] of equal age 🤦🏻‍♂️

Is God not fair to women?

Actually, there is no specification of gender in the preceding verses at all - in fact, God mentions "For those who were mindful", meaning any and all genders get companions

Let's read from 78:31...
78:31 For those who were mindful of God there is a great achievement,
78:32 gardens and grapevines,
78:33 splendid companions, well-matched,
78:34 and a full cup.

We're never going to solve Islamic banking without going back to first principles and defining riba properly according to the Qur'an.

God has allowed trade and forbidden usury… (2:275)

So what is usury? Watch the video!

#IslamicBanking

And afterwards, we will find that conventional banking, with the policies that are reasonably good and equitable, is already Islamic, without needing specific labels.
And there is no need to compel people to use it either because the right way is clear from error.
But it's really difficult to get people to do so.

Even Islamic Banking experts who know there is something definitely wrong with it – and prefer to use conventional banking – are still not willing to find out what the Qur'an is actually saying.

So there's this huge flood one day, and an entire town looks like it's going to be swallowed up by the waters. And the Police and Rescue Agencies are running all over the place trying to get people to safety.
So they send the rescue boat over to this house where a guy's sitting on the roof with the water lapping around his ankles and they say "Come on, quickly, there isn't much time"
To which he says "Nah, it's ok, God will provide"
About an hour later they're zooming past in the boat again and they notice the guy's still there, only the water's up to his waist... "Quick" they say, get in the boat, it's going to get worse before it gets better.
"Nah, don't worry - God will provide"

Practical Solution from the Qur'an for the Palestinian.

The conflict that began after WW2 has not shown any signs of ending towards peace, but only continuous sufferings by both parties.

thread >
Unfortunately, it is the Palestinians who are receiving the biggest blow in this conflict while Israel continues to dominate through its systematic aggression and expansion activities.
Hamas, Fatah, PLO have all failed to offer practical solutions to the Palestinians but remained with the same approach that had never delivered practical solutions, while the Israelis continued to expand their territories.

God says “Do good and I will reward you. Every deed, even as small as a mustard seed will be counted. I am the best accountant, trust me.”

Muslims do not trust God.

thread >
They trust those they have appointed associates of God, who tell them doing this gets you so many points, doing that gets you so many points... and if you'd do this on a certain day, night, or month, you get so many extra points.
God says “I will teach you, explain to you, and guide you if you ask for it. I have the truth and the best explanation, and you will not find a Guide better than Me”

Muslims do not trust God.

Present-day Muslims who do not study history think that Quranists are a new movement.

However, the 𝘔𝘶'𝘵𝘢𝘻𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘴 (in the 8th century) and 𝘈𝘩𝘭 𝘢𝘭-𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘢̄𝘮 before them, were opponents of Imam Al-Shafi‘i ...

...and his principle that the final authority of Islam was the hadith of Muhammad, so that even the Qur'an was "to be interpreted in the light of [the hadith], and not vice versa."
𝘈𝘩𝘭 𝘢𝘭-𝘬𝘢𝘭𝘢̄𝘮 argued to the contrary, that the book of God was an explanation of everything (16:89), and that verses in the Qur'an ordering Muslims to obey the Messenger meant that Muslims should obey the Qur'an, which God had revealed through Muhammad.
