When I first needed custom packaging for a brand I searched "cigar tube" on Alibaba and emailed the first factory I found. Today we import 40ft containers from that same factory.

Lorreta has saved us 7 figures, easy.

Hereโ€™s how you can do the same:
Whether you have a farmers market side hustle or a booming DTC brand, your packaging is probably low hanging fruit for:

- Lowering cost of goods
- Elevating brand

Let me give you some context:

Left is domestic, $.23/piece
Right is China, a fraction of that.. landed!
You can do ok with a stateside factory or broker.

Many use sites like Packlane that are huge in the DTC space.

Super limited options at crazy insane prices - but low MOQ. Great for an MVP, but otherwise ๐Ÿคฎ

When I put out this call, I was thinking anything... consumer goods, software, service, whatever. Builders build.

It takes 17 minutes to get from my house to the short term parking at PDX

Level 4, west side (C/D terminal)

+/- 5 min for stoplights and traffic
Takes 2 more minutes to get to TSA precheck for C and D terminal

+/- 3 min for line
Once through security, 7 min to get to the deepest C gate

(I usually fly Alaska)

In cannabis we call a multi state cannabis operator an "MSO" and there are several scattered all over the country.

Jumped on Amazon to snag a white noise machine and obviously had find the same on Alibaba out of curiosity. ๐Ÿค“

Housbay and Reacher both selling this same pieceโ€ฆ.
$13.99 with 1k MOQ. Prob much cheaper than that at the scale of each of these listings.

Housebay didnโ€™t even bother shooting their own product photos. Impressive?
What actually is impressive tho is that Hatch, who has an actual brand in the baby space, is selling nearly the same thing for 4x

A lot of times the commoditization of private label on these marketplaces cannibalizes real brands trying to compete at normal prices.
