@chudders Thank you for the RT @WorldOK_
I was involved in India's largest open source digital education platform. Target audience-millions of Govt and aided school children K-1 to 4 then 2015. I started by framing as how do you 'design participation' where the issue was dropouts. 1/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ Field studies and other sources pointed to planning engagement by exploring #touchpoints on a typical day. 2/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ Since it was conceptualized as a digital platform, while education, like news media, was actively adapting from physical to digitization (CD roms, PDFs etc) to digital (platform, data driven), I explored service map to trigger interactions, leading to data, feeds to analysis. 3/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ The #UX of this service was organized to address a child interactions with the platform as follows - 4/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ And for teachers who create content, engage with children digitally, remotely the #UX tried to address the following 5/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ A key realization from the field research was that less privileged learners need better feedback, that which is less intimidating and hopefully promotes 'growth mindset' (Carol Dweck). So...6/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ And to encourage stickiness as a learning behaviour, I suggested offering score for #participation (opens lesson), #perseverance (attempts to learn) and #performance (demonstrates grasp). 7/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ The platform #UX was conceptualized for active use of telemetry from digital interactions to target specific behaviour (in (good) intent) 8/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ The initial service mapping to understand the quality of #UX as well as how to manage it in a digital setting, I conceptualized a simple mental model for the UI, a layout that would encourage exploration. 9/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ Lastly, I asked why does #digital_transformation restrict to recent artefacts like text books, classroom, quiz, tests, etc. but explore a richer #Indian history. I found fascinating #storytelling techniques from 2000 years that fits digitizing. 10/n Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ The idea of a conflated narrative without need for a page flipping metaphor, say to evaluate comprehension in language learning; I used tap gestures to evaluate instead of mundane #MCQ which is easy for coding than for learner. Image
@chudders @WorldOK_ There were initial service blueprints spread across a large wall and captured digitally using Real time board (Miro) but unable to locate it. Please do ask any questions.
