If only the @LATimes were this interested in Gavin Newsom's Form 700's, which are devoid of any mention of the Tobia Way LLC that purchased his $3.7 million estate - cash - and which he claimed in a deed transfer that he and his wife fully owned... 1/ latimes.com/california/sto…
Here's how it went down. The LLC, registered to Gavin's cousin Jeremy Scherer, purchased the estate in Dec 2018. Gavin's spox said in Jan 2019 that the Newsoms purchased the home in cash, presumably using the LLC for privacy. If that's true the $3.7M investment in the LLC would..
...have to be noted in Newsom's 2018 Form 700, as well as the ownership interest. It's not. Then in Oct 2019 the home was transferred out of the LLC and to the Newsoms. They avoided over $4k in transfer tax by claiming to be members of the LLC. LLC wasn't on 2019 Form 700 either.
If Newsom is going to say, well, I was part of the LLC but just not listed as a member/manager, OK, perhaps that flies by Sec of State rules but it doesn't fly by FPPC rules. You still have to list the ownership. And since he owned 2 homes by the end of 2018, he had to list one..
..of them as an asset on the 2018 Form 700 since there's only an exemption for one personal residence. Again, not there. So, @LATimes, if you're going to be that dogged on Elder's financials, can you find where Newsom got $3.7M in cash while still owing $3.2M on their Marin home?
Here are a few handy links - first about the Fair Oaks home... (includes screenshots of some source documents) redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
And another about "sweetheart" cash-out refis on both of his properties that netted him a sweet amount of cash. Maybe he bought out Scherer's section of the LLC with that cash-out in Fair Oaks? Who knows. Good question to ask him though. redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
And, what's up w/his off-market sale of the Marin house for $5.895M in May 2021? Yeah, the RE market is crazy, lots of ppl are buying off-market but who bought it and why? Inquiring minds wanna know. But hey, the prop tax is paid and he's got a $3M profit! realtor.com/realestateandh…

🧵I hate it when I'm right. My theory was that papers like @LATimes have been ignoring Kevin Faulconer's massive, well-known ethical+poss crim probs re: 101 Ash St (incl his top donor buying 49% of bldg just before talks magically resumed btwn city and seller, then seeing a 25%
...ROI in just 18 mos when bldg sold, and an audit finding Faulconer intentionally misled rest of City Council abt the deal) b/c they all want him to be Gov if recall succeeds. Why do they want him? Uh, b/c he's easily influenced by $, and easily beaten in 2022.
If you are thinking of voting for Faulconer, start w/the SD Union-Tribune and search "101 Ash St." Then look at VOSD and La Prensa. Yeah, yeah, I don't want to hear "but they're liberal papers!" They have emails and primary docs. We have one shady governor. We don't need another.
Californians, please understand that who the potential replacement candidates are and how many there are literally has NOTHING to do with the odds of Gavin Newsom being recalled. If 50%+1 of the people voting on the recall question say yes, Gavin is gone. Period.
Then we go to question 2 - who should replace Gavin. He is not listed there and cannot be by law. There are no major Democrats on the ballot - and don't believe that Survey USA poll naming Kevin Paffrath as a frontrunner. I have my theories on why some people are touting that...
But anyhow, if Q1 is yes whichever candidate gets the most votes on Q2 wins - even if that candidate only has 20% of the vote. End of story.
There's no runoff. It's decided on 1 BALLOT. So the arg that "we all have to get behind 1 candidate or Newsom will win" is #FakeNews.
I *finally* got a transcript of a parole hearing I requested in Feb that CDCR tried to stonewall me on. They didn't want to give it to me b/c now we both know what it contains, but finally had to under threat of legal action. What they didn't realize is that I'm a trained court..
..stenographer who spent nearly 2 decades in courtrooms and had the highest certification test scores in the country (records that stood for about 15 yrs). So, I know a shitty transcript when I see it, and this one is FULL of errors. How does one challenge the transcript?
I hate being the one to question it, b/c I know the vast majority of court reporters are extremely competent. But this was an audio recording (where some participants were on zoom) sent out to a transcription service; no certified court reporter was present. That's a tough job...
It is also time to re-up the two pieces so far on CalPERS, the largest public employee retirement system in the country, employing a CCP asset as Chief Investment Officer. He would have had access to ALL retiree data, including LEOs, and invested our $ in Chinese military firms..
...and he had a personal stake in Blackstone, a firm that's causing quite an issue in US real estate markets right now. And when Yu Meng was employed by the Chinese Communist Party directing foreign investments, the CCP acquired US stealth technology. Yup. redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
According to the Tajak statement, there was no rep from China. That doesn't necessarily mean that a rep didn't attend via video link, but no mention of Dong. indianexpress.com/article/india/…
The official Shanghai Cooperation website has an overview of the event - which isn't available on the English portion of the website - says Zhao Keji attended from China. No mention of Dong here either. rus.sectsco.org/news/20210623/…

On 6/15 I told Chris Salcedo some of what we'd learned from Dong Jingwei about China military running Wuhan lab and that other US intel agencies were selectively leaking info to left-leaning sites to proactively discredit info Dong would bring fwd. redstate.com/jenvanlaar/202…
I first wrote about Dong on 6/4 and it didn't get much traction. After my 6/11 article which gave more specifics, the NY Times just happened to catch up w/Wuhan's "Bat Woman" on her mobile for an "unscheduled" interview pubbed on 6/14. nytimes.com/2021/06/14/wor…
Also on 6/14 GMA ran a preview of that day's "Nightline" episode-ABC *finally* wants to find the origin of the COVID-19 virus. While there was some attempt to seem fair-handed, the Nightline segment is getting out talking points of the Langley apologists. abc.com/shows/nightlin…
