The only thing standing in China’s way are indigenous Treaty Rights. Section 35 of the Canadian Constitution.

This is a long thread. But there is a lot of information packed in this thread. So let’s highlight salient points.

• NDP and GPC are both being targeted by far right saboteurs inundating them with libertarian propaganda. Some of the “progressive” supporters are actually far right trolls pretending to be progressives and spreading toxic rhetoric and libertarian ideology to confuse supporters.

• CPC has already inked and ratified a trade deal with China that compromises Canadian sovereignty. The deal promises ROI advantages for Chinese citizen investors until 2045. Canada cannot discuss the agreement publicly or withdraw from it for 15 years; 2029 at the earliest.

• Chinese nationals have been investing inordinate amounts in fossil fuels, minerals, purchasing farm land, building pipelines and demanding transportation accommodations to remove resources more efficiently. Federal govt has blocked some attempts to purchase infrastructure.

• Harper had plans to remove Treaty Rights from First Nations and erase all land claims by signing modern treaties with BC FN.

• LPC removed the ability for land title transfers outside of the band and reserve territory in LPC modern treaties. Preserving treaty rights.

• LPC bought a pipeline which does generate income, but more importantly, because it is a public asset, it’s controlled by the federal government, not a foreign investor. Access to the pipeline and costs to use it are also able to be controlled.

• About 1/3 to 1/2 of First Nations have been inundated with grey & black propaganda and a perceptible shift in worldview and ideology has occurred. (cultural genocide). This was a coordinated campaign since 2012. The same year Harper signed the China Canada FIPA in Russia.

• Atlas Network, a Koch Brothers funded American far right libertarian think tank partnered with MacDonald Laurier Institute and formed a committee of about 20 prominent FN leaders to learn about free market policies and libertarian ideology.

• Those FN committee members then sold the ideas and ideology to FN communities across Canada.

The far right neo-imperialists engineered approvals and compliance. They had inside help.

• Far right saboteurs and provocateurs are amplifying disinformation about LPC, covid, vaccines, immunization records, civil liberty, false scandals, & indigenous issues all from a libertarian framework. Targeting left progressive & centrist undecided voters & indigenous.

• Hatred for PMJT and LPC is at an all time high. Far right and left progressive opposition parties seek to remove LPC from power and eviscerate LPC again. Destroy PMJT, tarnish his charisma and popularity and assassinate his character. Perception is PMJT & LPC can do no right.

• Projections about the danger China poses to Canadian sovereignty have been created for distraction by the Conservative lead ad hoc HOC committee on China Canada relations and backed by NDP committee members. Several accusations of mismanagement of foreign relations.

• So extreme are the accusations that a public servant was called to the bar to answer to parliament. Never before done in the history of the nation. The goal of the query of the public servant: to obtain information on criminal espionage investigation mid investigation.

• Erin O’Toole has requested special intervenor status in the Winnipeg virus lab case. Is this an attempt to derail the investigation?

I don’t know the answer to that question.

I only know conservatives seem desperate to find out who and precisely what is being investigated.

• Conservative premiers continue to exacerbate Covid by removing mitigation measures too soon. Then blame LPC for their coordinated strategy to aim for “natural” herd immunity.

• Demographics of those most impacted by covid are now clearly indigenous, immigrants & low income.

• The Municipal District of Wood Buffalo in Treaty 8 was forced to request covid assistance from the federal government by FN chiefs because AHS and province refused to intervene during a severe covid outbreak in April 2021.

Authoritarians (which includes left and right extremism) are struggling to attain power. Politicians are using demagogic populism & the weaponization of a virus, saboteurs are spreading doubt and disinformation among extremists and recruiting more to their cause.

I’ve watched this unfold since early 2019. Like a hawk.

The election being called requires extra focus on refuting “progressive” disinformation. Not just far right gaslighting and false info.
