🔴 Man Utd - Great performance vs Leeds, I expect another big win in GW 2
🔵 Chelsea - Very comfortable win in GW 1, definitely title contenders this year.
🟣 West Ham - Great offensively, Antonio and Benrahma look superb. Avoid defenders for now though.
GW 1 Notes - Players 📝
🔴 Greenwood - Looked incredible vs Leeds. Should be nailed for the next games, great time to buy.
🐝 Mbuemo - 5.5 mid basically playing as a striker, one to watch!
🔵 Richarlison - He really impressed vs Southampton, potential Ings replacement in GW 4
GW 2 Fixtures to target:
🔴 LIV vs BUR
Liverpool are playing in front of a full Anfield for the first time in very long, which should give them extra motivation. Burnley looked very defensively vulnerable in GW 1, so I expect a comfortable Liverpool win in this one.
💎 MCI vs NOR
Man City need to bounce back from the loss against Spurs, and I definitely think they will do so against Norwich. We could see a big score here, the big question is of course what XI Pep decides to play 🤔
My prediction👇
GW 2 Player recommendation:
Mason Greenwood was very involved in Man Utd’s attack against Leeds and I expect him to keep his place in the starting eleven for at least the upcoming 3 GWs. The best Gundogan replacement, and a good differential captain this week.
GW 2 Player to avoid
Diogo Jota scored in GW 1 before he was taken off for Firmino after 60 mins. I expect them to share minutes going forward. I wouldn’t be surprised if Firmino starts in GW 2, so this isn’t the time to buy Jota. In fact, I would consider selling if I owned him
Budget midfielders:
There are lots of interesting picks in the 5.5m-6.5m midfielder category. Below, I have listed my Top 3 picks ⤵️
Saïd Benrahma (6.0) - WHU 🟣
Benrahma and Antonio ran the show in GW 1, and with good fixtures next for West Ham, the double up looks good. Leicester in GW 2 doesn’t put me off, and Benrahma could be a good enabler for managers looking to make the Mahrez to Son move in GW 3.
Raphinha (6.5) - LEE ⚪️
Despite the 1-pointer last week Raphinha managed an xGI of 0.4 vs Man Utd, and now the fixtures turn. Everton and Burnley next means great possibility of returns. But be aware of the fact that he could potentially miss GW4 due to quarantine restrictions.
Ismaila Sarr (6.0) - WAT 🟡
Sarr really impressed in GW 1 and has got a nice run of fixtures coming up. However, the best part of that run is from GW 4 and on, Brighton and Spurs in GW 2-3 isn’t great fixtures to target, so I would probably advice not buying until GW 4.
GW 2 Worth consideration:
Try to roll your transfer. 2 free transfers for GW 3 gives so much more flexibility, and we will also have a lot more information to base our decisions on after GW 2 than we have now.
Salah impressed us all and delivered a 17 point haul in GW 1. He now faces Burnley, a team that had an xGC of 2.28 vs Brighton last week. In front of the fans at Anfield, Mo is the standout GW 2 captain.
2) Bruno Fernandes - 💰12.1
Fixture: SOU (A)
After a GW 1 hattrick, Bruno is a great captaincy choice this week. SOU (A) is a very appealing fixture, their defense is definitely one to target with Vestergaard gone. Picking the right captain between Salah and Bruno will be key.
3) Riyad Mahrez - 💰9.0
Fixture: NOR (H)
Going with Mahrez (C) is very risky, but comes with a potentially huge reward. A big City win is something we can expect here, and Mahrez is a great asset when he plays, which I believe he will this week too considering City’s injuries.
GW 2 Captaincy - Differential
Heung Min Son - 💰10.0
Fixture: WOL (A)
If you want to go differential this week but don’t own Mahrez, Son is a good alternative. He played great in GW 1 vs City and will be able to find space behind the Wolves backline this week. Haul potential 🔥

Pros:
- Target fixture swings ✅
- Catch price rises and build team value ✅
- Get Ronaldo without taking hits ✅
- Opportunity to jump on value players ✅
- Get rid of failed punts/bad picks ✅
Cons:
- Can’t target GW 7/8 fixture swings as effectively ❌
- 3 GWs is a small sample size, so we might make bad decisions if we only base them on information from GW 1-3 ❌
- Fixture to target
- Player recommendation
- Player to avoid
- New signings
- Last season’s bargains
- Worth consideration

Liverpool go up against Norwich in GW 1, which is a very clear fixture to target. This should end with a big win for Liverpool which makes Salah, Mané, Trent and possibly even Tsimikas being great FPL picks.
GW 1 Player recommendation:
Riyad Mahrez is always a superb FPL option when he plays, the issue is of course Pep’s tendency to rotate the winger. However, with multiple injuries in the squad and players that haven’t got a full pre season, Mahrez could see a lot more...
The world number 1, Michael Coone, has had an amazing season and overtook the lead this week, but if we dig deeper into it, how has he played this season to get where he is?
Michael Coone started the season very well with a GW 1 rank of 43k, which is actually the lowest OR he has had this entire season. He kept up the green arrows and after an outstanding GW 6 he jumped from 18k to 2k and since then he hasn’t left top 3k once.
His next big jump came in GW 11 when he got from 2.3k to OR 618 which indicated in which direction his season was going. He then played his first WC in GW 15 setting him up for a 136 points Bench Boost in GW 19, taking him to OR 21st.
