People who are serving in the military can't comment outside of the chain of command (especially about a current mission)....that GOP folks are mad an officer was disciplined for issuing such public criticism is bizarre
Has nothing to do with politics, and they know this, regardless of what you think of the military, the theory is that a military could not work if people were able to publicly criticize their leadership outside of the chain of command
And comparisons to Vindman don't make sense, he literally did it through the legally created process, that is how you are supposed to do it.
and he testified under oath...in front of Congress...using the actual legal process
Anyway, everything for the GOP is transactional now, back in the day, few GOP would have ever celebrated an officer taking videos criticizing the chain of command...because it would be seen as a threat to the very ability of the military to function
I rarely agree with the military of militarism, but my background is in security studies (many moons ago) and I do know a bit about this stuff
