IMPORTANT! Dr. Vasilieva, the Head of Doctors' Alliance and Navalny's personal doctor, was just arrested and dragged out of her Moscow office. In the video below you can watch a policeman putting an unidentified object into her purse during the arrest. Please share! #navalny 🧵
According to Dr. Vasilieva's lawyer, Dmitry Dzhulay, she was detained in connection with her failure to appear for a hearing for the so-called "sanitary case" despite an official report stating that she was not properly notified.
Detentions are legal in case of a no-show without a valid reason such as failure to notify. In addition, Russian law allows hearings w/o the participation of the defendant. A petition was filed but the judge refused it without any explanation. A show trial is on the way.
Dr. Vasilieva is currently a defendant in the "Sanitary Case", along with nine other prominent opposition leaders, including Aleksey Navalny's brother Oleg Navalny, press secretary Kyra Yarmysh; two Pussy Riot members, including Maria Alekhina; opposition politician Lyubov Sobol.
Vasilieva is facing a prison sentence for allegedly violating the restrictions of the parole-like regime. The defendants of the "Sanitary Case" are charged with violating pandemic regulations by calling people to attend a pro-Navalny demonstration.
According to Anastasia Vasilieva, the best way to help the Russian opposition from the West is to share the information. Please consider sharing. Below is my interview with her:
AN UPDATE: Dr. Vasilieva is allowed to get back home to her kids, back to the parole-like "limited freedom" state, while awaiting the sentence. Thank you, ALL, for RTs, sharing, and video views! The Kremlin is sensitive when the world is watching! ✊ 🙏

"ABOUT FEAR. I was often asked if I was scared. More often they ask me about this abroad, not in Russia. Abroad, they do not know about black KGB prison vans that arrive after midnight, detentions, and prison sentences without any rhyme or reason."
❗Repressions in #Russia: Using face recognition systems, the police continue a series of night arrests of the participants of the peaceful protest on April 21 & journalists. #Navalny 's Anti-Corruption Foundation is banned & labeled an "extremist"/"terrorist" organization. 🧵 👇🏻
In Saratov and Murmansk, Navalny's headquarters were vandalized; under gunfire. The former head of Navalny's Center in Archangelsk was sentenced to 2.5 years in a penal colony for sharing a video of Rammstein's song for "distributing pornography. "

"Hi, this is Navalny. It's getting harder and harder for me to figure out what's really going on there, outside of my prison cell. Right now I only have a TV without remote control, & all the buttons (including the volume one!!!) are blocked so I can only watch a Culture channel"
"One hour a day. But my lawyer came to visit and told me a bit about what happened yesterday and - I will tell you honestly - two feelings are raging inside me: pride and hope. Pride for being a part of this great and beautiful whole..."
