Almost 24 hours after the last American airplane departed #Kabul, Joe Biden appeared before the White House press corps to declare his evacuation airlift would be remembered as an “extraordinary success.” 
Other than his noteworthy observation acknowledging that the mission would not have been possible without “the incredible skill, bravery, and selfless courage of the United States military”, the rest of Biden’s address was characteristically delusional.
Some people have suggested that this latest example of his self-delusion vindicates the long-standing suspicion that the 78-year-old is in the throes of his cognitive decline.
Most would be quite right to agree with this assessment.

However, it is important to accentuate that as well-substantiated as this suggestion proves to be, that it misses a wider fundamental point - This being that self-delusion is intrinsic to #Biden’s Administration and, tragically,
has become the hallmark of his so-called Democratic Party.

From peddling their “science” of “critical race theory”, to promoting a blatantly false reading of history, they then double-down on their lunacy by labeling anyone who dares to challenge their madness as “fascists”; “racists” or “Islamophobes”.
Abroad, as their Afghan debacle has demonstrated, they delude themselves further by believing they can negotiate with rogue regimes and Jihadists:

and put all of its citizens; friends, and allies at risk.
