Sussmann lied to FBI General Counsel James Baker pretending he was acting as a 'good citizen' to deceive the FBI that he was not representing his clients Hillary Rodham Clinton's campaign or Tech Executive-1.

Sussmann's claim of concerned citizen is also ruled out by Steele's testimony that Sussmann provided him a briefing in July 2016 waiting 7 weeks to provide this 'vital' information to the FBI. Shortly after Steele wrote a dossier memo accusing Alfa Bank...

Sussmann tricked the FBI into believing the information he provided was credible & undermined their investigation of Russian Collusion & the people framing Trump for Russian Collusion.

Sussmann used access to non-public data from multiple internet companies & researchers at a US univeristy who had access to internet data in connection with a federal cybersecurity research contract.
Sussman & Perkins Coie coordinated with the Clinton Campaign the white papers.

Did the oppo research team miss that the email address server was not run by the Trump Organization but by a mass marketing email company that sent out advertisements for the Trump Organization?

FBI figured that out...

As a former prosecutor & senior DOJ official, Sussmann knew that lying to the FBI was a crime. But also knew how to lie to them to make it seem credible...

Tech Executive-1 claimed in emails that he was offered the top cybersecurity job in the US government if Hillary won the election. While he was generating the data to frame Trump...

Talk about a conflict of interest. Tech Executive-1 hired Sussmann as his attorney for a "matter involving an agency of the U.S. government..."

Seems a perfect lever to press to pressure that executive by promising help in that case with the US Govt...

Tea Leaves (Originator-1) is a different person from Tech Executive-1.
But was a business associate of TE-1.

At the end of July, Originator-1 provided the initial DNS data to Sussmann (who didn't give it to Baker until 9/19/16).

Sussman, TE-1, & @marceelias spent weeks coordinating their efforts with the Clinton Campaign deciding how to use this information to 'demonstrate' secret communications between Trump & the Russians.

Sussman billed his time on the project to the Clinton Campaign.
Including billing them for a 7/29/16 meeting with Fusion GPS to coordinate it's usage in opposition research materials.
Steele met with Sussman on this day, in the same or a different meeting.

Possible correction, Sussman & Steele might have met on the 31st not the 29th but I'll have to check other sources.
But Sussman continued to bill the Clinton Campaign for their oppo research efforts on the Alfa Bank story...

I bet that means there are emails discussing how to create a "narrative" about Trump's ties to Russia!

A false narrative!

Tech Executive-1 directed employees at Internet Companies 2 & 3 (which TE-1 was a part owner of) to search public & non-public data in early August 2016.

TE-1 ordered employees at Company-3 to "search for an Internet data reflecting potential connection or communications between Trump or his associates and Russia."
If you follow me you know why its a big deal, Trump & his associates were US intel assets infiltrating Russia.

Several employees were very uncomfortable with this assignment but TE-1 was too powerful at the company to not comply. TE-1 even discussed working with people closely affiliated with the Clinton Campaign!

TE-1 provided these employees with a 5 page dossier on 6 Trump associates & a lobbyst for Alfa Bank.
Leading them to spy on US intelligence agents who were spying on Russia...
Had their emails, IP addresses even one spouses information.

Internet Company-2 then queried against non-public internet data 9000 IP address, 3000 domains & 60 email addresses...

Internet Company-3 then wrote a report (white paper?) that Sussman provided to the FBI in September.

Tech Exec-1 then tasked O-1 & 2 university researchers to more broadly spy upon Trump & his associates. First guess would be Carnegie Mellon & their cybersecurity center but that is just a guess at this point.
Wanted to create an "inference" to support the "narrative" about Trump

TE-1 then provided the results to Sussman so he working for Perkins Coie could draft & disseminte materials to the media & the FBI.
Had someone yesterday arguing this white paper wasn't Perkins Coie's work.

Then we get to the Swampy money trail.

The University was finalizing a contract with US Agency-1. To pay the university's researchers to analyze large volumes of non-public internet & DNS data.

Wonder which agency...

Tea Leaves (Originator-1) & Tech Exec-1 were going to be selling large volumes of data to the University that would be paid for by Agency-1s contract with the University!

TE-1 & Company-1 provided access to the University to use non-public date from US govt. Office-1 to search sensitive US intelligence data for the information for the Trump project.

This could be an FBI's Field Office & FISA data for unauthorized queries of raw NSA intercepts!

Originator-1, Researcher-1 & Researcher-2 used this access to sensitive US government data to assist Tech-Executive-1 to spy upon Trump & his team from July 2016-February-2017.

Note, the Washington Field Office access to a computer contractor was shutdown in April of 2016 after an audit by DOJ exposed this access & NSA was informed of it.
It looks like it may have been back up & running by July from another office or channel. The old FISA ruling!

Unfortunately for them, the original data did not help their narrative about Trump very much!

They even have emails showing they could not find any evidence of collusion.
Then discussing "faking" emails so that they would appear to communicate & give something to create a fake "inference" of collusion off of.
But worried HRC's other oppo research wouldn't corroborate it.

Tech Executive-1 then tells the researchers that they just need to find anything true that they can connect.

As I have long said, disinformation: you find dots that are true & connect them with a narrative that is fictional but leaves an inference!

There only problem, the only link they found between Trump & the Russian was the server email connection.
That they knew was nothing but a "red herring" & not evidence of collusion!

The researcher then replied that they had to use every trick in the book to make a fake case that would not stand ANY public scrutiny by fact checkers!

Knowing the DNS info was absolutely nothing. Sussman of Perkins Coie drafted the White Paper.

Billing Hillary Clinton's campaign for drafting the false allegations against Trump & Alfa Bank!

Then providing the false white paper to the FBI in an effort to get Trump investigated!

Sussman then met with Elias, Fusion GPS, experts & reporters regarding the false white paper!

And billed it to Hillary Clinton's campaign!

Still working on the project, still billing Hillary for framing Trump!
I guess calling it a confidential project & trying to hide behind Attorney Client Privilege doesn't work anymore!

Before taking it to the FBI, TE-1 asked the researchers if anyone would find the White Paper even remotely plausible. The researchers agreed their were huge holes in the theory but that few non-experts would be able to spot them.

So Sussmann then began sharing the fake Alfa Bank story with the media, against billing Hillary's campaign for the 'work' he was doing with the reporters.

I guess when you are attempting to rig an elections by framing your opponent you have to be sneaky & call the work something like... "work regarding confidential project"

Sure no one will ever guess what that is!

Marc Elias even billed his time on the project to the Clinton Campaign. Emailing Jake Sullivan, Robby Mook, & Jennifer Palmieri with an updated on the fake Alfa Bank allegations.

Sussmann had Researcher-2 speak to the media during the weekend before his meeting with FBI to continue to spread the word on their fake research.

In addition to the fake White Paper that Sussmann helped draft, he also sent Researcher-2 a White Paper by Fusion GPS on Alfa Bank.

Billing it all to the Clinton Campaign...

Sussmann even worked Sunday prepping for this FBI meeting, billing the "confidential project" to the Clinton Campaign.

Much of the above could likely result in criminal charges for fraud, but lying to the FBI about who he was working for is a slam dunk case that can't be ignored by juries.

Sussman claimed he was approached by the cyber experts, when the above references make clear that he approached the experts through Tech Exec-1 to research it. They did not come to him with the results.

I wonder how Sussmann knew that the media would be covering the Alfa Bank story? Maybe it was the meetings with reporters that he billed to Hillary's campaign!
He gave Baker a variety of documents on Alfa Bank/Trump. The one he wrote, one from Researcher-2, & one from Fusion GPS.

Baker then met with Bill Priestap to turn over the reports. His notes confirm that Sussmann said he wasn't working for a client. But Priestap made sure to document that Sussmann's clients were Hillary & the DNC!

Sussmann billed his meeting with James Baker to Hillary Clinton while lying to Baker that he was not representing any client!

Hillary literally paid Sussmann to lie to the FBI!

Sussmann also failed to disclose that he, not researchers drafter one of the white papers he provided!

He also failed to disclose that Perkins Coie was paying Fusion GPS to create the White Paper on Alfa Bank that he handed over to the FBI.

Sussmann also testified to Congress that he provided the information to the FBI on behalf of his client Tech Exec-1. But didn't tell the FBI that...

Sussmann's lies to the FBI triggered an investigation of Alfa Bank. Wasting FBI resources & generating the appearance that Trump was under investigation by the FBI.

Sussmann continued to send information to reporters hoping to generate anti-Trump stories. I believe Newspaper-1 is the New York Times, who the Clinton campaign blamed for not falling for their fake Trump Russia stories as easily as other media did!

Here is Sussmann trying to set the hook in the effort to set up Comey with the narrative that he had been briefed on these allegations (few would know that if it was true) to accuse Comey of blocking the investigation of Trump.

The Clinton Campaign ended with her election loss, but Sussmann's efforts continued. Now billed to Tech Exec-1!

With the FBI not willing to investigate Trump, Sussmann attempts to influence another US government agency. Agency 2 which is likely to be the CIA.

Sussmann tried through December 2016 & January of 2017 to get a meeting with Agency-2 to give them his fake Russia work.

Sussmann threatened to go the newspapers with his information if Agency 2 wouldn't meet with him. So in February 2017 he was allowed to meet with 2 employees & shared the same fake stories along with a few newer documents than he gave FBI.

The 2 employees documented Sussman's lies to them & the false information that he provided them.

I don't know who in Congress asked Sussmann this question, but I suspect they already knew that he had lied to the FBI before interviewing him. The question is very direct & accurate.
But he still lied about Hillary's campaign being the client, when he billed them for the meeting
