0/What’re the next steps for @solana? A thread

In the “cool down” time like this, it’s a great chance for us to slow down and look for what the ecosystem need

This thread will share some of our views on what is lacking and what we think will trigger the next explosion on Solana
1/ Assets Issued
This infographic from @Coin98Analytics and @Saros_Finance shows us that total assets issued on Solana are still small compared to Ethereum and BSC. Image
2/ To find the answer to this problem, we have tried to create a pool on Solana. What’s surprised us is that right now, Solana doesn’t have a Permissionless AMM.
3/ @RaydiumProtocol has permissionless pools, but because of built on CLOB, you will need to create a market on Serum first when you want to open a pool. This process costs you about 10-15 SOL, complicate & time-consuming, especially for the 1st time users.
4/ To scale faster, we need a place where everyone can create a permissionless pool, just like Uniswap or Pancakeswap.
5/ Of course, that might lead to more scams, more rug, but It will also open the door for Devs and projects to contribute to the ecosystem in many aspects and provide users a wide variety of choices for their money.
6/ Right now, the only AMM we see that meets the criterias is @Saros_Finance. If other projects have this idea or are about to implement it. Feel free to share here, would love to share your project with the community.
7/ The shift in the money flow

This is a screenshot from @solanabeach_io that indicates tokens that have the most holders. Despite hasn’t updated some trending token like $SBR, $SUNNY, but based on this screenshot and the TVL of projects on Solana we can conclude that: Image
8/ - Almost all money flow into the Solana is for the stable farm from Saber and Sunny
- Others are locked to join the IDO on Solana
9/ It’s great to have a juicy and safe farm with your stables, but to produce constant and long-term yield. The eco needs users to borrow and pay interests.
10/ Also, the money needs to be in motion (margin trading, options, perpetual)

> That’s why the next step in Solana might be Lending/ borrowing and Derivative
11/ The UX for @ProjectSerum
Serum provides one of the most innovative infrastructures for Solana, The unique architecture that allows for the interoperability of all projects built on it.

12/ But right now, Serum and other projects will need to do more to enhance user experience
For example, when we bought ships from @staratlas marketplace, we had to settle the order on Serum, and to settle the order, we have to find the market ID of different ships
13/ Projects like @StepFinance_ help improve this experience when they allow settling directly from their dashboard. Still, the next step for Serum and Solana is to make the UX better, especially when more and more potential projects are built on Serum will release mainnet soon
14/ NFT

NFT is also a niche that attracts a lot of attention on Solana, but the problem we see right now is too many collectibles.

15/ We don’t say it is not good, some collectibles are unique and amazing to see, but right now there are too many and the ecosystem needs something new.
16/ One of the potential niches we would love to see is Gaming x NFT
Games coming to Solana is mind-blowing, with the fast txs and cheap fee, Solana provides one of the best places to build quality on-chain games

Next step >> Use your NFT, not just buy it
17/ The last thing that affects users heavily experience is bots on Solana. A few days ago, Solana Mainnet Beta encountered a large increase in transaction load which peaked at 400,000 TPS.
18/ This led to a network outage, and this happened likely because of bots spamming txs on the network.
19/ This is one of the major issues that affect users’ experience and affects Network security as well. So we think @solana should put this to your consideration and provide all users the better places shortly.
20/ Some of our thoughts about what are the next steps for Solana.
Find the problem and find the right solution is the keys to search for Gems. Hope every Solarians can have something after this.

Any other problems that you think Solana will need to solve?

1/ The state of DeFi on Solana - @SBF_Alameda @aeyakovenko @RajGokal
TL; DR:
-DeFi on Solana is still at the early state
-Few projects have released products but every crucial niche already has projects developing.
2/ -High chance that when the time comes, many projects will release mainnet and make an explosion in the eco

When the market is unstable like this, it nice to calm ourselves down, stop chasing for yield and take a closer look at what’s actually happening
3/ DeFi is product-market fit, before, Crypto only has one use case: currency. But being just a currency doesn’t do anything, Crypto needs a real use case and DeFi is perfect for that.

Real experience using dev/mainnet & collected feedbacks from solanians for @MercurialFi @gopartyparrot @MarinadeFinance

What projects should we explore next @solanians_ ?
$SOL #SOL #SOLSZN #SOLSUMMER
1/ @MercurialFi
Amazing devnet. If you can add single-sided withdrawal and divide tab for clearer UX, it will be great
2/ @gopartyparrot
Friendly UI & easy to use
Have some minor problems when using and hope to see updated ver soon

1/ @ProjectSerum and the vision to flourish the ecosystem no.2

The next part to help you understand more about the idea behind Serum and provide a list of exciting projects built in the ecosystem.

Based on Serum, SRM, and an Ecosystem for the Future P.2 - @SBF_Alameda
2/ In the last past, I have shared my thoughts of why @ProjectSerum choose such a challenging route which is the central limit order book model (CLOB) instead of pursuing, for example, an AMM model?

3/ Instead of short-term gain, Serum’s ultimate vision is to build an infrastructure that can support the mass adoption which contains billion of users and $10 trillion of on-chain value.

1/Solana money flow p2

It only about a month but so many things have happened in the ecosystem, so today I will update about money flow in @solana eco and what I think will happen next.

2/ Everything starts from the fundamental so money of course will flow to Solana blockchain first. That’s why $SOL continuously surpasses its ATH.

3/ After layer 1, money will likely flow to KEY LEGOS of @solana so I told you to invest in KEY LEGOS in Money flow part 1 and with the performance of $RAY, $FIDA, $SRM,... recently I think it was the right thing to do.
