Thank you @_ankurjoshi for an amazing session.👍🏾
Ankur shared precise and actionable guiding principles for building a #B2B business.
Sharing the guiding principles in the thread below -
1. Thinking Big. Thinking global!🌏
- For building global products, one needs to build a mindset of thinking big in terms of scale.
- The Quality of the product has to be on par with existing international products.
2. Being sustainable.
- While building a business, find out ways to be sustainable from the beginning.
- Prefer clients that would pay upfront.

3. Stay lean. Be extremely frugal. Especially in good times.
- Try to build products and features aligning them with long term goals

- Realization of knowledge gap

Find the key learnings of the session below -
The @Airbnb story started in 2007 when @jgebbia & @bchesky rented out their house during a design conference and realized that the idea could potentially be a game-changer. It has seen tremendous growth since then.
5 key ingredients that make Airbnb special & iconic, A thread🧵
1. Understand the value your product creates for the end-user before thinking about scaling.
- In early days @Microsoft, @Facebook (& others) obsessed over how users found value in their products, and how to be better than the competitors.🧐🧐

Today, @pentropy did a fireside chat 🔥 with @elegantlywasted talking about products, countries, metrics, PMF, twitter, zomato and much more.

It was enriching to say the least! Here are some key points from the discussion -
Indian / Valley Startups

- SF is more focused on the ‘How’ of building products & enjoy a mature ecosystem to utilize Tech as differentiator

- Indian Startup ecosystem is much younger, more ‘Outcome’ focused and efficiently adapts to rapid changes with great speed of execution
PMing in the time of COVID

- PMF has become much clearer, the noise is gone.

- Sectors which have grown rapidly (like edtech) during the pandemic will have to evaluate if they will be able to sustain this growth when things get back to normal and build accordingly
