everyone treats lwj differently after his presentation. some look down on him more. others linger near him a bit longer, their gazes tracing his body and resting on his belly.

lwj takes a few weeks to smack everyone and reassert his position as head of discipline.

the courtship gifts start coming in, many from those who claim that lwj is too uptight, cold, or an overall bitch. alphas like a challenge and lwj is quite the challenge.

and then there's wwx, who is frantically changing his plans from pursued to pursuer. he was not prepared! 😭

all the gifts lwj has received are lavish, a show of wealth or connections with the implication of a good, comfortable lifestyle for him should he accept.

wwx, on the other hand, has no money or a home of his own 😭😭😭 all he can promise is his devotion.

he tries, though. he knows lwj dislikes the expensive courtship gifts; he's not even sure if lwj /likes/ him, so he frames his gifts as harmless teasing.

lwj is very appreciative of all the soft things, but he is dismayed that they hold so little of wwx's scent. he mopes about it after he has finished building his nest.

on the flip side, wwx knows NOTHING about being an alpha. he knows they can form knots, but that's it.

he's at a loss at the increased aggression he feels. he nearly beats another alpha into a pulp after they joke about how boring it would be to lie with a distant omega like lwj. he also can't shake the intense desire to /bite/ lwj. he has never wanted to bite his friend before.

he probably buys baby teething rings for himself and sadly chomps away at them whenever he's in the library pavilion copying rules with lwj. his teeth feel so itchy. 🥺
