1. I can't thank you all enough for the support you have shown for the #BringAliciaHome campaign organised by @MartinsWorld420 of @pfsa_ireland. We have had people walking in Ireland, the UK, Spain, Portugal, America, Canada, Australia and Thailand!
2.
We are going to let the campaign run until the end of the week for those who couldn't make it yesterday. If you decide to take part, please take a picture of your walk and share online with the hastags #BringAliciaHome and #CannabisReformIreland.
3. You can also tag the Minister for Health @DonnellyStephen and Minister @FrankFeighan who's policies are actively causing harm to those who could benefit from #cannabis.
4. #Cannabis has changed my life & allows me to manage my #ChronicPain but I am being prevented from accessing it in Ireland. I would love nothing more than to be able to travel home. Whether you walked, ran, cycled or commented/shared the campaign online..Thank you all!

1. Did anyone else watch the Health Committee meeting this morning about the Medical #Cannabis Access Programme? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. They clearly have no intention to expand the conditions or to include #ChronicPain.

2. Lorraine Nolan, Chief Executive of the HPRA said that the were following the Medical Cannabis Access Programme model in Denmark, but she could not answer whether GP's could prescribe cannabis to their patients or whether a consultant was needed (GP's can prescribe in Denmark).
3. She said that the program was running for the last 5 years when it has only been 3 and a half. She also said there was not enough evidence for the use of #cannabis in treating #ChronicPain. This is simply not true.

1. The momentum behind the campaign for #MedicalCannabis in #Ireland has been growing over the last few weeks (thread)
2. Since the beginning of the #covid19 pandemic, the HSE has organised the delivery of the medicine from the Netherlands to patients who hold the licence in Ireland. However, this will stop once covid restrictions are lifted.
3. @veras1 has been trying to contact the Minister for Health @DonnellyStephen for months to ensure permanent delivery of Ava's medication. But to date she has not received a call back or even a date for a meeting. cannabishealthnews.co.uk/2020/10/02/mum…
