Justice Chandrachud says we have seen the information bulletin you have prepared.

Divan says that the General medicine is the feeder speciality hence, all the questions are from the General Medicine.

Justice Chandrachud- What we want to know is that
50% were from Super Speciality
And 50% from other branches i.e still in existence, so what you need to tell is whether they are 100% from the General Branches,

What there contention is that earlier they had to attempt 60% from higher and 40% from what they have already studies and now it's 100% of earlier, Justice Chandrachud.

Dave says, Milords 100% from the General Medicine.

Adv Prashant Bhushan appearing for petitioners say, now they say is that 100% will be from one of the feeder which is General Medicine, it is just one of them and we want to do oncology.

Justice Chandrachud- We want clarification, in case one want to do specialization in Critical care, is it necessary to know General Medicine?

Sr Adv Maninder Singh appearing for respondents said, now there is one broad General Medicine.

Justice Chandrachud- This is just an indication, how botched up our education system is...they have started their padhayi long back.

If you change the syllabus like this, what is such hurry, Justice Chandrachud.

Singh- for the purposes of SS admission , experts have decided.

Singh says, See Milords, Now insted of 3 SS they have opportunities for 12 SS.

Justice Chandrachud- What you are saying is for all these 12 categories the question will be from General Medicine, have some concern for the Students.

Bhushan- The Authority have not gone through this, see their claim that they have submitted, it is a lie.

Divan said , we have submitted several affidavits from the Students.

Divan says, atleast in so far as this year is concerned the Scheme may not be allowed to implemented, these are living incidences which we have placed on record.

Divan says, you don't change rules of the game when all things have been prepared.

Now they have made 100% from General Medicine which is one of the feeder, Bhushan submits.

Bhushan added that One of our prayers is to establish the authority as required by the Act.

It is suddenly brought in just before the examination, Bhushan said.

They would have reverted back to the situation, When everybody used to sit in their own specialisation and the marks are normalised. This is totally discriminatory and done without consulting with the appropriate, Bhushan said.

ASG Aishwarya Bhati submits that we have filed this short affidavit that is a joint affidavit.

Going back to the past will derail the whole system, question papers and everything have been set.
12000 Doctors have registered for the examination, Bhati added.

Justice Chandrachud said, this doesn't matter even these students will registered they'll have no option.

This was all done so that the seats don't go vacant, and seat that are vacant are never in Government colleges and there is reason behind that, Justice Chandrachud.

Bhati- Yes Milords, it is a important point of consideration.

They don't suddenly start studying it's not like CLAT or other exams, they prepare for years, perhaps we have forgotten them in the whole process, Justice Chandrachud added.

Justice Chandrachud: Length at which your clients are going for the seats to be filled...

Bhati- Milords there are larger interests.

Bhati said, We would have accepted for not Implimenting it this year but the Cost of this would have been much higher.

Justice Chandrachud: Ms Bhati you may have a rational, but what was the hurry to impliment it this year, whether the heavens were falling, give students an opportunity, time, what would happen if you give them time, give in a manner in which an expert should do it.

The medical education has become a business and the way of regulating it is also becoming a business, Justice Chandrachud said.

We'll give you time, put your office in order and if you don't it our hands are long enough for that, Justice Chandrachud added.

The Court will continue hearing the matter tomorrow.

We are giving you an opportunity to put your house in place. I hope the sense prevails, Justice Chandrachud added.
