Many pro-choicers on Twitter seem to think that if a mother with an unplanned pregnancy is talked out of an abortion and doesn't choose to place her baby for adoption, all the needs of the baby should be provided for for 18 years, either by pro-lifers or the government.
They'll complain that pro-lifers only provide some basic supplies and then are done helping. But that isn't generally true of pro-lifers, especially those who volunteer at and/or donate to pregnancy help centers. pregnancyhelpnews.com/pregnancy-help…
Ideally, couples won't have fertile sex unless they are ready to raise a child together. If there is an unplanned pregnancy, fathers ought to stick around to raise the child they helped conceive alone or with the mother.
Fathers should pay their fair share of prenatal expenses and, if the baby isn't placed for adoption, the minor child's expenses. By law since 2015, every state has requirements for a father to pay or reimburse expenses relating to pregnancy and birth. humandefense.com/a-discussion-o…
If a woman or girl isn't covered by health insurance, maternity care can be provided through Medicaid, which is a government-sponsored health insurance program for low-income families. Medicaid currently finances about 45% of all births in the US. medicaid.gov/medicaid/quali…
They are many other resources available for parents, including SNAP and TEFAP. Parents are also eligible for the Child Tax Credit even if they have no income. This link is for single parents: benefits.spaoa.org/e/1/?&requesti…
Pregnancy help centers often provide counseling, referrals for prenatal care maternity clothes, diapers, and baby supplies. They can provide resources to find adoptive parents if the woman chooses not to raise the baby by herself or with the father. adopting.org/crisis-pregnan…
You gotta wonder why pregnancy resource centers, staffed mostly by volunteers, far outnumber #abortion clinics that charge to kill unborn children. Personally, I think it's because prolifers care about actual women and actual unborn children.
Not all pro-lifers are theists and there are several secular pro-life organizations willing to help with unplanned pregnancies femcatholic.com/post/building-…

@StudentsforLife It's amazing that after decades of denying that #MargaretSanger was #racist, #PlannedParenthood suddenly says she was racist. Without, of course, apologizing for the previous denials.
@StudentsforLife "We have also denounced Margaret Sanger’s racist and ableist statements. We commit to dismantling
institutional and structural racism and the very real ways racism affects the health of Black women.” theintell.com/story/opinion/…
@StudentsforLife Former Planned Parenthood Director #FayeWattleton “I think we have deluded ourselves into believing that people don't know that abortion is killing. So any pretense that abortion is not killing is a signal of our ambivalence, a signal that we cannot say yes, it kills a fetus.”
