[thread]

I would like to apologise to @DPJHodges

I am sorry

I said to you in response to your tweet below:

"And please try and engage brain before your craven client sycophancy"
I would like to say sorry

Because I neglected to include consideration of the possible rationale's you could have for such a post

1. You did not understand the guidance
2. You did not understand the circumstance of Boris/Carrie
3. You are a sycophant craven client propagandist
Now

If I was a national newspaper columnist

And it was 1 or 2 - and I did not understand

I would try and research the topic to gain an understanding

And having reached that understanding or at least informed backdrop

I would evaluate and argue a case
Not just a "What's the issue here"

Because many newspapers have covered this and provided said detail

As have many legal "experts"

e.g. see the thread below

So when I said

"And please try and engage brain before your craven client sycophancy"

I presumed you would read the thread and come back with a reasoned response as to why in your judgement Boris Johnson did not break the rules

Instead you blocked me
Here's a fuller link to the thread of @JolyonMaugham

Perhaps @10DowningStreet @BorisJohnson can answer to it honestly

Why would they have to have their "version" of events

Why not simply the truth?

I think back fondly to the words of Thatcher

Margaret Thatcher 1963 (on Macmillan)

"The Prime Minister is a man of the highest integrity and honour and should not, therefore, suffer for someone whose standards were not as high as his own.”
Also Margaret 1970 General Election Address

"We want a nation with high standards of integrity, tolerance and personal responsibility."
Margaret

"My Britain is one where the rule of law is upheld, impartially even against the most powerful bodies in our community and where those entrusted with upholding the law, whether policemen or judges, are given respect, support and encouragement. "
Oh yes and also Margaret

From a speech to the Institute of Journalists

margaretthatcher.org/document/103789
I remember Summer 2020
I remember autumn and winter 2020
I remember as covid was being let rip (AGAIN)

Just how infuriating it was that the progress from earlier lockdowns was well spaffed away

And the ability to see family and friends in person at Christmas was lost

But hey one rule for the King
Just as its one rule for the Prittster

Thank God Boris "did his best"

Because if this is his fucking "best"

I would hate to see what his "worst" would have looked like

The day after Dominic Cummings boasts of taking over party

Confirms lie of many solutions to the NI border

They planned to break a treaty they signed up to knowing exactly what it was

The contempt for law, ethics & decency

Thatcher's party is dead in a ditch
Alas
Oh and I'm no fan of the Conservative's

But at least with Thatcher she would not have let a pandemic rip

See my Liz Truss thread here detailing what "build back better" is building back from

M. Thatcher

“Britain does not renounce Treaties.

Indeed, to do so would damage our own integrity as well as international relations.“

Also Maggie

"Under treaties we accept obligations which we ourselves help to formulate."

[thread] I am going to quote from James Brokenshire MP

From his words on Hansard

I will juxtapose it with the words of the Prime Minister

RIP James Brokenshire MP

Condolences to your friends and family
"I am very grateful to you, Mr Speaker, for your kind wishes and kind comments and the support that you have given to me as I renew my acquaintance with the ways and processes of the Back Benches. I very much appreciate your kind words and support." Image

[thread] a word substitution game

Go on give it a try
“I’ve given you the most important metric – never mind life expectancy, never mind cancer outcomes – look at wage growth.
“Wage growth is now being experienced faster by those on lower incomes. It hasn’t happened for 10 years or more. That is what I mean by levelling up.” ImageImageImageImage

I am going to play a little game

Close your eyes

Imagine you are the British Prime Minister

The First Lord of the Treasury in text message speak

The "People's Prime Minister" if you wish to adorn yourself

The "Lion King" to cult members
Now I am going to do something really difficult

Ignore the last nearly 2 years of coronavirus

Ignore

Herd immunity
Locking down late
The lie of a protective ring
Joke of Operation Last Gasp
VIP lane corruption
Schools mess
Damage to economy
Weaponising vaccines for brexit
Ignore all that

If you can

Also

Ignore the over 150,000 dead

The Lion King

The People's Prime Minister

The King of the World

And his blessed address to the United Nations

My thoughts on his speech

gov.uk/government/spe…
"Mr President, Your Excellencies, ladies and gentlemen."

The King of the World really should not start of like this.

It should be dear citizens.

Or if you are Jacob Rees Mogg dear subjects.
"An inspection of the fossil record over the last 178 million years "

Any politicians who think the planet is only 6,000 years old turn away now
