True story: bought tix to an outside NYC Parks event two weeks ago. Showed up w/ kids, and saw everyone was wearing masks outside, distanced, etc. So we got in line, prepared to ask if masks were optional. Instead they demanded our #VaxxPass.

1/
So, not only were they making everyone wear masks, outside, distanced, they were also demanding proof of shots. We asked why, and the young security officer was super shitty to us, and called his supervisor.

2/
It's then we noticed that the entire staff were wearing tight-fitting N95s, outside, in the high heat. They were visibly struggling to breathe in the heat, hard to speak, the masks billowing in/out, and sucking to their faces with each breath.

3/
Surprisingly, the supervisor was extremely polite. He realized we weren't causing trouble, so he pulled us aside and told us this: [sic]

"Mayor DiBlassio held a conference call with all city agencies, and told us all that this was a zero tolerance policy."

4/
"DiBlassio emphasized heavy fines, and announced he was 'deputizing' each and every city bureaucrat & contractor to enforce these mandates. Whether they're on the job or not. Which means there are thousands of city workers out there, looking for infractions to report."

5/
"We don't agree with this, we hate it, our customers hate it, but we have no choice. Just one fine will hurt us a lot. We live in perpetual fear of some bureaucrat coming by, and discovering some kind of violation, reporting us behind the scenes, and we get a crippling fine."

6/
"I will gladly refund your money, and I'm so sorry you came all this way. You're not the first family we've turned away. And if we could do something different we would. But our hands are tied."

7/
That's right. DiBlassio has enlisted tens of thousands of city workers to be his "enforcers": out on their private time, eating in restaurants, going to parks, whatever. All of them on the lookout for lucrative 'violations' for the city. Team effort, etc.

This. Is. Insane.

8/
I wish I had asked him if there was a "bounty" or a bonus for bureaucrats filing these reports, because that wouldn't surprise me either.

But this "white collar cop" business is downright evil. Deputizing bureaucrats to enforce "rules" (not laws, mind you) is just not right.

9/
Our country is *not* designed to work that way. Mayors, Governors or DOH's are not allowed to issue dictates, punishable by fines, or force. Emergency or not. This is not how things work.

These things are NOT laws. And there are very specific procedures we use to make laws.

10/
The fact that so much of what is being done to us, our kids and our society is being done by *bureaucratic dictate* instead of via legal legislative process, is a big big problem.

If we don't fix this, and quick, things are going to get much much worse.

PS, how's #Chevron?

Folks, when the NYT says you're being hysterical… you may want to sit down: nytimes.com/2021/10/08/bri…
"“It may only get worse,” read a Politico headline. “The new school year is already a disaster,” Business Insider reported." … "In The New York Times, an epidemiologist predicted that cases would rise in September because children were going back to school."
"And what actually happened? Cases plunged."

Apologies it took a few days to compile 🙂 but here are some highlights of the @OpenschoolsUS / @AFTunion #MaskPanel with @rweingarten @TracyBethHoeg @PatriceHarrisMD @IrwinRedlenerMD and @DrJBhattacharya 👇
One of the main reasons we held this important #MaskPanel discussion on Masks, COVID, Kids & Schools is because many experts have not been allowed to share their opinions and POV, w basic science and immunology being censored as "disinformation". @TracyBethHoeg address this here:
Here’s an interesting exchange: @TracyBethHoeg @PatriceHarrisMD @DrJBhattacharya and even @IrwinRedlenerMD point out that kids don’t wear masks well. @PatriceHarrisMD implies that we need better enforcement in schools: #MaskPanel

And THIS 👇 is why normal people don't attend rallies. Just check out the friggin COMPETING rallies being held in NYC today. WTF, people? Clown town. We're fucking doomed.
And so goes the #WorldwideDemonstration #worldwiderallyforfreedom and people wonder why the US can't get their shit together, and show up like UK, France, Australia, Greece, etc.
The teachers unions and Antifa don't pull this dumb counterproductive bullshit.

They arrange a time and a place. And then (gasp!) they all fucking show up.

They don't hold competing rallies. Because, apparently, they're smarter than us.

1/ Hospitals are NOT being overwhelmed right now with unvaxed delta deaths. It's just not happening, just like it didn't happen last year in NYC.

Yeah, I said it. Because it's true.

Was it bad in NYC last Spring? Yup. Was it "overwhelmed"?

No. Not even close.
2/ Never mind that we didn't use the SHIP or the JAVITZ or CENTRAL PARK or the multi-million $ BROOKLYN COVID HOSPITAL at all (completely empty!) the problems we did have in hospitals were mostly due to catastrophic bureaucratic mismanagement (achem, Elmhurst). And vents! ☹️
3/ I know several people personally that work in NYC hospitals. And an interesting thing happened in early April 2020.

I saw a Dr friend of mine appear on a national TV show (!) and he proceeded to weep and wimper about the "needless slaughter" that was occurring in his ICU 😳

Well, the ECONOMY is in terrible shape, thanks to you LockDown morons. The supply chains are a complete mess, there are shortages on almost everything, prices are though the roof, and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight.

Your forced COVID "strategy" failed, you dummies😡
Just tried to order some lawn signs and was shocked at how expensive they were compared w/ 2 years ago. I called, and the PLASTIC, PAINT, and metal STAKES are all either in short supply or unavailable… through the end of '21 *at least*.
I'm seeing this with many of my clients, as well. All sorts of industries, major supply chain disruptions, crazy shortages on very basic supplies. Labor problems due to the ridiculous unemployment payments.

This is madness. And completely avoidable.
