2/ If we want to get back to normal we need to get RO below one, we need to understand that #COVIDisAirborne and appreciate what the virus actually does to morbidity and the immune system
Its not endemic and living with it makes healthcare unsustainable
3/ As others have said we need an air sanitation revolution in much the way we did in regards to water sanitation when we came to understand waterborne pathogens
This also puts us in a far stronger position when another variant or pandemic comes along
4/ Remember last Spring when there was talk of a leadership challenge, some Tories were claiming Johnson was too timid after having covid, they called for boldness, they called for Sweden, quoted Sikora,Heneghan, Gupta that we'd already obtained herd immunity by April 2020
5/ No second wave, covid will mutate into a milder illness, we won't get more dangerous variants, its already over
We got the early disinfo groups like UsForThem who met Johnson over Summer 2020, good going for "grassroots"
7/ By October we knew it was clear we didn't have herd immunity.
Plenty of the media promoted the GBD claiming we had herd immunity, there would be no second wave
8/ So after meeting the GBD crowd in autumn, ignoring Alpha and putting us into a late lockdown, those whod claimed there would be no second wave were arranging meetings with MPs and media behind closed doors
11/ Now they are still claiming the virus will get milder and Endemic is now the new Herd Immunity
Same old snake oil, just in new packaging.
When Johnson said irreversible, that wasn't for the public it was for Tory MPs
12/ They are agitating in the background and in RW press, Johnson has gone against them in the past, he's not a purist. Brady is chaired of the 1922 committee, with the CRG they just need a few ministers on board and they are capable of a leadership bid
13/ So like May with Brexit and ERG
Johnson has made unworkable promises that CRG will hold him to
Javid knows the score
Johnson is trapped, he can't bring in the measures to prevent healthcare collapse, which makes collapse more likely
14/ Back to playing chicken with covid, healthcare collapse is entirely avoidable but if we end up there a lockdown that shouldn't have to happen might be the only option left
Those who called for caution will be more angry, the skeptics will be angry, he could be toast
15/ What happens then in the event of a leadership bid?
Javid? Brady? Baker? Truss? How far down the rabbit hole are the remaining Tory members, how vulnerable are they to further entryism?
Too many MPs seem comfortable with associating with some worrying and opaque groups
16/ The opposition have gone AWOL, many people and organisations with the platforms to speak up are either unaware or seemingly willfully belligerent as to the links between policy makers and coordinated disinformation
17/ Please help #ShineALight on policy makers and coordinated disinformation
Template letter to send to MPs, local councillors, media, unions, and anyone you think might listen
Finn says children less infectious, children more likely to be infected by adults than the other way round, schools not a significant issue for transmission
1/
Questioned about JCVI data being published, he says he's tweeted about it, have to consider risks of vaccination, then tries to dismiss it with "well minutes haven't been published yet, there's no conspiracy"
However the data has always been published a lot quicker than this
2/
But one of Finns final comments sticks out "we shouldn't be blaming children"
Sorry but thats an arguement I've only heard from a certain section of people, like "children need their own union"
Classic dismissal line used against those worried about children being infected
#r4today Paper review 1. @FraserNelson claims NHS isn't in crisis.
Would this be the @spectator which has disinformation group HARTs David Paton as a writer
Fraser who a year ago claimed we had herd immunity and would get no second wave?
#r4today then quotes Philip Thomas who claimed in March 2020 that lockdowns kill more than covid, advised the treasury to unlock regardless and now works for the Spectator. A year ago he claimed no second wave
3. #r4today had a headline that Government is going to provide laptops for disadvantaged students,
Without mentioning that they promised this in April 2020 and still haven't delivered
