Happy United States Grand Prix weekend from #DavesCarIDService. The first US Grand Prix (Anglicized to "Grand Prize") was held Nov 1908 in Savannah GA, and won by Frenchman Louis Wagner in this 120 hp (!) Fiat.
*Savannah built a 25 mile course winding through city streets and country roads, using prison labor, to lure the event. First car race in the US run under international rules, it attracted entries from Europe and the US and 60k spectators including President Taft.
Apologies for neglecting my car ID duties of late. I continue to welcome your requests, especially for old family album pics, and please use the #DavesCarIDService hashtag. For additional guidelines please read:

OK, let's get to today's caseload: Great Unk & Auntie are styling in front of a 1961 Dodge Dart Phoenix 2 dr hardtop. If a "race car," I hope it was packing a Mopar 413 RB dual quad cross ram. And 1961 was the peak year for car rooflines IMHO.

You may remember this engine from Jan & Dean's Little Old Lady From Pasadena ("parked in her rickety old garage is a brand new shiny red Super Stock Dodge") and the Beach Boys' Shut Down ("my Stingray is light, her slicks are starting to spin / but the 413's really diggin in")
Contain yourselves ladies! This saucy mechanic, clad in necktie and striped overalls, is comin' atcha on the bumper of a 1925-26 Oldsmobile.
Find someone to look at you like Grandpa looked at Grandma. Their car here is a 1950 Buick Super; trunk emblem says Buick Eight, and side trim script says Dynaflow (automatic transmission). Note the Tennessee shaped license plate.
*a quick zoom-in on the license plate confirms the photo was taken in 1950, possibly a ceremonial photo on the occasion of the new car.
Yes, likely a Eureka funeral procession car; based on a 1926-27 Packard. Eureka was one of a number of companies (like Henney and Superior) that made hearses and ambulances based on Cadillac, Packard, etc chassis.
Ooh la la! Pretty sure these two mademoiselles and their pup are trucking along in a circa 1900 Peugeot 3CV (ht @ronval912)
What an amazing shot in front of the Woolworth Building, briefly the world's tallest. Double suicide doors on the cab say 1928 Hudson, tho not 100% certain. Car behind it is a 1928 Chevy.
By golly it's another 1928 Chevy sedan, maybe the same one in the honeymoon pic, and Grandpa parked it there to shoot the previous photo. Easier to find parking in NYC back then I guess.
For all you Dodgers fans (ht @DevilPhx), here's one from when they were still known as the Brooklyn Robins. Car here is a bit of a challenge, I will venture a 1923 Haynes but possible it could be a 1923 Duesenberg Model A.
The ol' ubiquitous 1917-24 Ford Model T touring, the car that put the average Joe on wheels no matter where he lived. Note export market right hand steering. Circa 1920, 50% of all cars in the world were Ford Model Ts.
*btw, this one has accessory wire wheels, probably Daytons or Buffalos.
obliged to provide a minor date correction here (ht @mherlhy0816), these two blues legends are standing next to a 1941 Plymouth.
Looks like Lil' Dad is lovin' the new baseball glove he got from Grandpop. Car in the distance is a 1947-49 Studebaker sedan.
These Austin paleo-hipsters were going retro in 1959 with their 1910 Rambler Model 54 touring.
brief history: TB Jeffery began building Rambler brand bicycles in Chicago in the 1890s, switched to car making in Kenosha WI in 1900 using same brand. By 1902 it was the #2 selling car behind Oldsmobile. In 1914 change name to Jeffery, then sold to Nash; thus the Nash Rambler.
Another neat shot of old Austin, and gotta tag our old friend and historian of African-American car culture @weargrits. Car yonder on right is a 1931 Buick; to the left I think (not 100% sure) is a 1929 Chrysler 75.
A very early (1908-10) Ford Model T but unusual as it is right hand drive. Could be a Canadian made one, or maybe just a flipped negative.
hmmm. Kinda stumped here, I sense a 1936ish Citroen Traction Avant model, but not really jibing on the fenders. Putting out batsignal to my go-to Eurocar guru @Harry_Bergeron
*obviously it can take a while to get to all your car ID requests
Sorry y'all, that's it for today, back tomorrow for more adventures in car identification. Until then, happy motoring!

Not car IDs, but car dealership IDs: when I was in Chicago recently I strolled along the Motor Row district, home to some ornate building that were once car showrooms.

1. Marmon (duh)
2. Hudson
3. Premier (duh)
4. Car sihouette weather vane on the old Illinois Auto Club
The old IL Auto Club is almost like a church or civic building, with its steeple-like bell tower. Now used as an event space.
If you like cars & architecture, the old Chicago Auto Club building is another treat. Now a Hampton Inn in the Loop, they preserved the Lobby as it was built in 1928, include giant roadmap of the US and a '28 Ford A Roadster.

Crowd: why won't these green pieces of paper buy as many Doritos as they used to?

Stimulus Man: Fear not, citizens! For I am here with more green pieces of paper for everyone!

Crowd: Yay! Thank you Stimulus Man!

Dr Doritos: bwah haha! And now for Phase 2 of my evil plan!
Crowd: Wait, now THESE green pieces of paper won't buy as many Doritos as they used to

Stimulus Man: rejoice, for I am back with yet even more green pieces of paper for everyone!

If you can't trust a company named Evil Ape selling NFTs, then I don't know who to trust
Thank God I invested all my money in the Ape-a-Life pyramid of success system. These live monkeys sell themselves!

Hit me up if you want to learn more about starting your own monkey distribution distributorships, I've got a whole storage shed of monkeys ready to sell
Wait... the spending millions on NFTs part *wasn't* the scam?
