The present collection of amazofuturist short stories is one of the most important movements in the consolidation of the subgenre in our literature.

Authors from different Brazilian regions were selected to celebrate the indigenous peoples of Brazil, demonstrating through this work the respect and support of writers of all races for their cause.

In these stories there is no lack of real elements of extreme importance to the indigenous people, such as the struggle for the land that has always belonged to them, prejudice, subjugation, the exploitation of natural resources, the degradation of the environment on which they

depend, the attempts at acculturation, among others. The elements that characterize science fiction are also present, especially the impact of technology and science on the individual or collective.

And, of course, respect and exaltation for indigenous religious beliefs are also present.
These tales can be seen as different branches of the same growing tree. Despite being born from the same trunk, they point in different directions with different shapes.

This is what is expected from a new strand of science fiction: plurality within the same context.

It is Brazil turning its eyes to its roots that were once injured by axes and saws, rediscovering its riches, no longer to remove them from the hands of their owners, but to revere them as a culture to be preserved.
