In the last few years, we have heard on and off of people lost, some close and personal and some celebrities who were in their 40s and died because of doing too much to be "fit".
Unfortunately while they did look fit, six packs and all, the body was not really able to keep up on the inside with the rigor of the exercise regimen.
Sadly y'day Puneeth Rajkumar also gets added to this list. A good person gone too soon, gone too young!
In anything in life, MODERATION is the mantra. Any extreme of zero or 100 is not correct. A moderate amount of exercise, just about 20-30 minutes, eating while keeping nourishment in mind.
Not restrictive diets, no detoxification or keto moto diets, just eat what your ancestors have been eating, the local and seasonal food in your hometown, not kale, kiwi or olive oil.
Sleeping a full 7 hours, respecting your body by not feeding it steroids, performance enhancement drugs and unnatural substances.
Just eat all that you ate growing up, in small quantities, exercise for 20mins to 30mins. A good walk should do perfectly along with some..
...controlled toning and cardio and weights and stop all supplements....if you drink, limit it to a couple of pegs a week, if you absolutely can't give up smoking, a couple a day .. .you catch my drift???
Anything but in moderation. Add a bit of silent meditation to your routine. Most importantly, listen to your body. Understand it.
By 40 the body is undergoing a lot of changes, 50 even more, 60 plus your body is starting to slow down, 70 plus, your body is starting to shut down.
80+ every year is a bonus. So, stop saying 60 is the new 40, 50 is the new 30...no it isn't, if you are 40 or 50 plus, be grateful if you're healthy, slow down so your heart can keep pace, understand retirement has been suggested for a reason.
Our body and mind cannot take the stress which you once endured. Outwardly you could be looking good, thank your genes but inside, the organs are aging.
If you're 40 + read the above. If you're doing something other than the above that is going to hurt you in the long run please consider changing it, now!!
Do a favor for yourself, your family and your friends! I'm sure you don't want to end up as another statistic and cause pain to the loved ones left behind.🙏🏻

Ironies of democracy as done in two of the largest democracies.
Democracy was defined by Abe Lincoln as, "For the people, of the people and by the people". US amended to make it, "For the business, of the business and by the business".
The current state of democracy in India is like, "Far (away) from the people, off from the people and ...buy the people".
Legislature, Executive, Judiciary and Press were supposed to be 4 pillars of democracy. -
But all the 4 have forgotten the key enablers of Democracy: People, who are responsible in reposing faith in their elected representatives by electing them and have done a splendid job. But the latter have generally been treated like dirt and with disdain.
generated a lot of traction.
Let me try and address some part of it.
From a finance standpoint, There are 3 aspects of being a senior citizen: a. Health and Health Insurance Costs; b. A steady income from broad source of asset base. c. People who will put Vultures to shame and acting in the financial services industry space.
I will address the 1st part in this thread and why PM / must make an intervention.
Health Insurance to senior citizens is problematic. As they move into an age where they are faced with a prospect of reduced steady income, the demands on that money goes up.
Suprabhatham, friends!
Recently I had a Darshan of Bhagawan #Mahadeva's manifestation in the form of Shiva Lingam at Siddhanath Mahadev Mandir, located at Nemawar, Dt. Dewas, M.P.
The temple, located on the banks of River Narmada is exiquisite and gave me a divine feeling.
It is said that this point, where the Mandir is located, is the Nabhisthal (Navel or midpoint) of River Narmada. One can say that in some ways, it lies between Mahakaal Jyotirling and Omkareshwar Jyotirling.
This temple is supposed to be about 3000+ years old.
According to Sthala Purana and the locals, there is a connection to the Mahabharata with this temple. This is one of the rare temples that faces the West. The story goes that one time the Kauravas and Pandavas challenged each other to build a temple in one night.
Translation of tweet thread about life challenges by @SudhaRamenIFS. She is a self made person and one of the reasons as to why I admire her.
I dreamt of career in Medical, but got admission in BE, BioMedical. Then got married at 21 after which I joined Wipro. 2 years later, left the job, tried at JIPMER few times facing few hurdles. Then with a 1 year old child appeared and in the 1st attempt got through in IFS.
In 2012 alone, I appeared in various competitive exams. In not a single exam I studied or prepared for Science paper. Whatever I studied for entrance exam of medicals, served my purpose which I remembered very well.
It seems Afghanistan is being sacrificed for Taiwan! The US want China to bleed in Afghanistan and Xinjiang so that the 2022 elections of CCP doesn't return Xi as their chief.
