The relationship to cows in India have been akin to family members, not unlike the relationship in the West to dogs and horses as "pets." People generally don't eat those considered family. Every culture has their own taboos.
Of course, there is a much deeper relationship to cows in India that merely "pets." They are not only family members, but also providers, and financial assets.
This is just to get it into "liberal" thick brains in terms of their "master culture."
Vigilante justice happens when people cannot rely on the State to protect them. The fake narrative of "killed for eating beef" has made police even more apathetic to cattle theft. In other words, the narrative drives the conditions which leads to violence.
Of course the #JihadCoolie "liberals" do more than that. They actively whitewash the violent and criminal #CattleMafia which routinely kills those that come in its way; but raise a hue and cry when the criminals are beaten up by irate cattle owners.
Someone who was representing India accurately in the West, as one would expect of people like Barkha and Salil, would contextualize these incidents for a Western audience in terms they understand.
Instead they deliberately distort. For what agenda?
Imagine if this news were about India for stealing cows and the perpetrators were from their favorite religion, how would it have been spun by professional propagandists that act as "liberal journalists" in India.
So hard to find good editors for English. Interviewed a candidate today who is working as an editor elsewhere. Studied 12 years in English-medium, CBSE, MSc, B.Ed. Her resume itself had errors in every line.
(And you want to convert 1.3 billion people to English-medium? 😏).
India's English obsession is creating linguistic cripples. I asked her if she could edit or write in Hindi, but she said her Hindi is worse.
Foisting an alien language has meant we are not good in any language. The natural ability of mother-tongue proficiency is destroyed.
Another candidate I interviewed, also from English-medium, spoke eloquently about this problem (I recorded her with permission to share).
At the highest level, the mental state of athletes matters more. While the Pakistan team did not do this fake copycat "taking the knee" the Indian team was busy virtue signalling for an issue that had zero meaning for anyone in the team living in India.
Also in her desperation to find an Islamic angle, why does @BDUTT ignore the Hindus arrested along with #ShahRukhKhan's son? For her Hindus don't matter, but at the very least, it should give pause—this has nothing to with religion.
It starts from "convent" education. Rather than joyous colors of Indian culture, all signs of culture are forcefully removed. Bindis are not allowed, traditional garb is not allowed.
It is a subtle way to indoctrinate. Girls punished for Bindi, Mehndi, choooriyan.
