I made over $500,000 by simply cold emailing effectively.
Let me show you how you can do it, by bootstrapping it from nothing. π§΅
1/ $500,000 net income over 4 years from cold emailing in the cleaning industry.
Yes, surprising but possible. When people think "cold email" a lot of times they assume you are talking about e-commerce, ad agency, coaching/consulting, etc
You don't think about sweaty startups
2/ I have been sending cold emails since day 1 of my business and it has landed me:
- Annual contracts up to the size of 45k
- One customer providing 5k/week revenue
- Monthly contracts providing MRR of 25-30k
I do something even better, I go right to local Realtors, Property Managers, Local Construction Companies, General Contractors, Interior Designers, Mortgage Brokers, etc.
4/ Anyone that has anything to do with a residential property I cold email and ask them if they may know someone who may be looking for a house cleaning, this is a numbers game.
I draft a templated message. Something like this:
5/ Hello, ________ my name is _______ from ABC Cleaning. I hope you are having a great day.
I am sending you this email wondering if you or any of your clients are seeking reliable and consistent quality house cleaning services.
6/ We offer very affordable - move in/out, general cleaning, vacation rental, post construction, and much more.
I understand that you may be busy and I appreciate you taking the time to read this email.
7/ I would love to discuss a referral program/kickback program for you for any clients you may send our way for cleaning services.
Please free free to give me a call at ________
I look forward to hearing from you!
8/ Commercial cleaning -
I don't talk a lot about commercial cleaning but it's even easier to cold email and land some leads.
Like I mentioned - I have landed almost ALL my commercial contracts from either referrals or cold emails.
9/ We are hardcore bootstrapping this - Literally drive around to all strip malls, industrial areas, office buildings, and create a list.
Then go home and google every single location, find their website, and put together a list of emails and begin sending out cold emails.
10/ This all may sound too good to be true but it works, trust me.
Money and opportunity is out there up for grabs. People in the cleaning industry suck at running businesses.
11/ Your cold email may not land the day you send it but you will be the first person they think about when they need a cleaner.
Overall Important Parts:
- People love referral kickbacks and the real estate industry as a whole runs off referrals and a mentality of:
12/ "I'll scratch your back if you scratch mine."
- Sometimes offer a price match with commercial cleaning, some commercial customers dislike their cleaner but "it's cheap," so offer a price match with an increase % per year over a 2 year period.
- Personalize Emails.
13/ It's a numbers game when it comes to cold emailing, you are not going to land a customer every time you send an email.
But trust me once word gets around that you are a great business owner, who communicates well, and provides high-quality services - you will do very well.
Nobody thinks of the cleaning industry when you talk about lots of cashflow
π€
Itβs really a hidden gem. Plenty of work to go around for everyone and price elasticity is huge.
You just gotta put the work in!
Cleaning bought my first investment property.
Cleaning helped me max out my tax free stock portfolio.
Cleaning helped me pay off 20k+ in credit card debit.
Mind blowing how a boring business can change your life.

Here's how I added 50k per month in cash flow, with only 2k upfront capital.
If you are looking for more cashflow, you just stumbled upon a gold mine.
π§΅
1/ When I was looking to start my first business I was searching through different industries and noticed a ton of businesses either required large upfront capital to start or it took long to start positively cash flowing.
2/ Then, I stumbled across the cleaning industry...
An industry where clearing 10k, 25k, 50k months was achievable... all with at most a few hundred dollar start-up cost.
So you want to make 100k a year in your house cleaning business? It is very possible!
I actually bet you could be making 10k months within your first year.
//THREAD// π§΅
Here are 7 tips to break down exactly how to start making 10k a month from a business that costs as little as 2-3k capital to start.
Let's start with bottlenecks of the industry -
1. Quality Control 2. Hiring Quality Cleaners 3. Cleaner Reliability 4. Not Delegating
πππ
1. Hiring Due Diligence - Be strict with who you hire - Key Things: How long they are looking to work for you, do they want full-time or part-time work, how many years of experience do they have, are they reliable, and can they provide character references.
If you master this you will dominate and you will build yourself a life changing cash flowing business.
π§΅
1/ The residential cleaning industry has a ton of opportunity right now and its only escalating - House cleaning use to be a luxury and now it's a service everyone wants.
Even peaking higher interest due to COVID-19.
2/ People hire a cleaner and once they experience the feeling of coming home from work to a nice clean house... there is no going back. They are hooked!
LTV of customers is INSANE and the CAC is insanely low.
