Any dumb shit who uses the pejorative "illegals" gets an instant block.

Imho, accounts who use this misleading pejorative to describe a wide range of people are either too far gone, or are deliberately stoking fear, division & hatred.

Life is short enough without engaging them.
The number of people coming to the UK to claim asylum fell by 4% last year - less than half what it was in the early 2000s. Patel says 70% of those arriving on small boats are “not genuine asylum seekers”, yet two-thirds have been granted refugee status.

30 years of anti-asylum measures mean Britain is already a #HostileEnvironment for asylum seekers. Those fleeing persecution & torture subsist on less than £5.50/day (less than in France) & are not allowed to work, unlike in many other countries.

Being unable to work makes them vulnerable to organised crime.

Britain receives a fraction of the asylum applications of Germany & France & fewer per resident than the EU average. Low-income countries host nine out of 10 displaced people worldwide.
98% of people arriving by small boat claim asylum seeker status - this is perfectly legitimate & legal, & we know that the majority of them have legitimate, legal claims.

Using the grotesque term "illegals" to describe them is misleading & hateful.

Hitler allied himself with leaders of German conservative & nationalist movements, & in January 1933 became chancellor. Image

In April 1933 communists, socialists, democrats, & Jews - along with other left-wing political activists opposed to the Nazi regime - were purged from the German civil service, & trade unions were outlawed the following month. Image

Begum has never lived in Bangladesh. Last May, the country’s Foreign Minister, Abdul Momen, told the BBC that Begum has “nothing to do” with Bangladesh and would be refused entry. “The British government is responsible for her,” he said. “They’ll have to deal with her.”
A former MI6 official said that Begum’s fate was not being driven by security concerns or logic: “This is a purely political decision,” he said. “Why one would think that Bangladesh had any better capacity to deal with somebody? It doesn’t make any sense.”
