Finally! Ive been waiting for this thing to show up for 2 months. Searched high and low in @RGVaerialphotos photos 8 weeks straight hoping I would see signs of it before anyone else.

Before we start:

I had a feeling this would happen. It sucks to have to skip ahead in the Orbital Launch Mount series cuz its going to be impossible to keep the whole thing in one thread now. Might have to come up with a better way of organizing this stuff.

If you have no idea what going on here. This should help.
1. Lets start with some introductions:
Meet @SpaceX's "4th" Stage 1 vehicle that they have given birth to in the last year. She is the most powerful Super-Heavy, Orbital Class Booster on the planet for... at least the next 2 months. Image
2. Engines:
As I mentioned, B4 has 29 of the most powerful and efficient engines ever created. Each of these Raptor engines start every launch off with a complete balanced breakfast consisting of Liquid Oxygen (LOX) and methane (CH4). These are version 1 Raptors...Just....Wow. Thats all I go...
3. Transportation:
The booster has a special transport stand that allows it to be transported vertically on the highway. @SpaceX only has 2 of these which means they can only have 2 fully stacked boosters at a time currently.

4. It has 20 hydraulic clamps that have the lucky job of stopping this monster from getting blown over in the wind on the way to its destination.

5. Transportation:
This video by @considercosmos gives you a really good idea of what it looks like when you transport a 23 story rocket down HW4. If you have VR goggles its absolutely insane. Highly recommend checking it out.
6. Booster Clamps:

7. Counterweights:

8. Stabilizer Bar:

9. Compressor:
Sitting on top of the CW's. This compressor keeps the #LOX and #CH4 tanks pressurized. I don't think there are too many occasions where you will ever see a fully stacked #SuperHeavy that isn't pressurized. Unless being supported by a...
10. BQD:
In the very front of the booster there is this massive panel. Spotted sunbathing on a nice clear day by @StarshipGazer. It might not look like much but this thing has a lot going on. All the protective coverings makes it a bit difficult to see what happening. Image

15. Hey everyone! I want to take a step back and look at all the different functions of the launch table. We will look at these operations in the order that they take place in starting with the pre-pressurization system for the Super Heavy Booster
16. When unpressurised, its often easy to tell because of the dents that appear in the side of the tank. In the video below you can see what it looks like when they pressurize the tank.
17. This video from @LabPadre is an example of how incorrect tank pressures can cause structural instability in a tank of this size. It is important for these tanks to remain pressurized while they are being transported. #SN3 #RIP
18. Lets take a look at how #SpaceX keeps the booster pressurized during transporation.

19. In order to maintain structural integrity during the lift, a few things are required.

22. Moving further down to the massive valve control panel for the pre-pressurization system. The path continues all the way down the legs. We will talk about the different configurations that are available here later once it is completed.

The two pipes that aren't connected yet in the previous picture (shown with red circles) will be routed inside the table to supply high pressure GOX/GN2 and GCH4 to the outer 20 #Raptor engines.

We need more history about the launch table before I explain how and why #SpaceX will use the #OrbitalLaunchMount to handle the ignition of the outer 20 #RaptorBoost engines. In the meantime, here is a hint of where the GCH4 is supplied from.

1/11) Hey #StarshipAddicts, I just wanted to take some time to correct some misconceptions I have seen floating around about this event during the WDR. Hopefully this thread will clear the confusion. At the end, I will suggest a possible solution to this issue.

2/11) To start off, we should all be able to agree that Wet Dress Rehearsal involves Liquid Methane, and Liquid Oxygen. There is zero nitrogen involved, other than for super chilling of propellants and various gas purges (interstage & OLM/OLIT)
3/11) Now, lets take a look at the depressurization vents on top of the methane tank of the booster. There are no pipes on the inside of the tank that connect to these valve. So when they open...you can literally stick your arm inside of the booster methane tank

(1/4) Hey #StarshipAddicts, here's a little update about the status of exterior cladding on the Orbital Launch Integration tower.

As of today, the first 3 levels of the OLIT have been covered on the sides facing the Launch Mount.

What is the status for the rest of the tower?
(2/4) More paneling for the tower has been spotted by @RGVaerialphotos at the Massey's site which is owned by @SpaceX.

As shown in this image, there are 18 bundles of tower cladding. Each bundle has 9 panels. There are a total of 162 center panels on site already.
(3/4) Each level of the tower requires 4 center panels. Doing a little math...

Panels Available =162
Number of sublevels on OLIT = 24
Remaining levels without cladding = 21
Panels Needed for each side OLIT after bottom 3 levels are covered = 84

Hey #StarshipAddicts It's been a while since I've done this but here's a short thread explaining what is about to happen at the Starbase Orbital Tank Farm Image
1) Last week this trailer arrived to the Sanchez Gas site. As of yesterday it appears that SpaceX has started to move these items over to the Launch Complex, which is something I wasn't expecting until after the first Orbital Test Flight. Here's why... Image
2) At the OTF there are currently two active liquid oxygen pumps (green). To the left of those are two additional inactive pumps which were delivered back in March (red). So why weren't these ever fully installed? Image

(1/11) Why didn't #SpaceX use #Mechazilla to lift #Booster4 onto the #OrbitalLaunchMount?

This piece of equipment is the main reason for using the #LR11000 Super crane to lift the booster, instead of the #Chopsticks. I'm going to refer to it as the Locator Pin.
(2/11) When fully extended, the locator pin is inserted into this position on the starship #StarshipSuperHeavy's Hydraulic Power Units (#HPU's). There are two of these located on either side of the booster.

(3/11) I'm not sure if the aero cover actually makes contact with this hard point on the booster, but its not meant to take much force either way. In order to not damage the booster, these locator pins are designed to have a relatively light tough.

(1/8) #StarshipAddicts, I think we have a major update for you about one of the #Starship variants we have been expecting to see at #Starbase!

It has been speculated that this nose cone barrel section was to be used for the #CargoVariant.
(2/8) Thanks to @RGVaerialphotos, we now know what it looks like from above. In this image you can see in interior structure which is most likely used to open the "payload bay"
(3/8) If you watched the most recent episode from @RGVaerialphotos flyover review you will remember us mentioning that the size of this payload door makes a lot more sense for #HLS #LunarStarship than it does for #Cargo version.

The tanks shown in this picture are assumed to be the additional Methane storage tanks needed in order to fully fuel a #Starship/#SuperHeavyBooster for orbital launches and also suborbital WDR / Cryo testing on the new staging pads. ImageImage
(3/10) CH4 Storage Tanks:
@LabPadre #Gatorcam caught these four tanks rolling into the port on a barge on the morning of Feb 15, 2022 at KSC. These are identical tanks to the four tanks that we have seen at the Sanchez site.
