Was away from Twitter as I was traveling for the past 3 weeks traveling and touching many parts of India. Every flight is full and hotels are functioning almost back to normalcy. A wonderful thing to see. A short thread on my experience. #flights @IndiGo6E
#vaccinationcertificate: When one flies into Guwahati, one has to show the Vaccination Certificate. Flying to Bangalore from Maharashtra, one has to have #RT_PCR test report. Thanks to GoI, this test now costs Rs. 600/- and in many places, it is free as well.
Flying into Mumbai from Bangalore, only #VaccinationCertificate is required. Flying into Hyderabad from Mumbai / Hyderabad also requires #VaccinationCertificate. Flying into Pune from Hyd
Thread to continue!
To me, the way @IndiGo6E managed the travellers at Pune Airport was by far the best. While at Pune, Bangalore was good, one gentleman at Pune took the ownership that made ALL the difference and I complimented him.
At Hyderabad, well it was the opposite end of the spectrum. Utterly mismanaged and full of only chaos all around. Worse still, few counters to manage what looked like 100s of passengers. We were sure that we were going to miss the flight!!
And to top it, the self service kiosks - many of them were not functional. Finally one of them worked, where we printed the baggage tags but then there was no difference between those who had to check-in and those who had to just drop their bags!
Apparently some top shot political leader landed up at the Airport that led to all the chaos - the Indigo team at the Airport ticket counter (I think) were shouting at some of the passengers with the latter giving it back. Pretty bad sight.
Finally, my team were able to check in my bag but they @IndiGo6E person did not take my team's baggage as she was called upon to do some super urgent work and asked my team to go to the Boarding directly.
And as luck would have it, from where we were, it was almost 800 meters and one floor below. Imagine, running with all your baggage. As I entered the boarding area, the last call was being announced and I told the guy to wait for some more minutes.
My team landed up after 7 to 9 minutes, that seemed more like an eternity!!! The other place where there was lot of crowd was in Mumbai @GoFirstairways counters. Again, the same malady - lots of passengers - 2 or 3 counters open - I wonder why the Airlines do this shoddy job?
But taking an overall perspective, the Airlines did a commendable job. Each person / employee carries a risk of carrying and being in touch with so many folks at a single point in time. Plus they have to serve within a limited period of time - that is not always easy.
Passengers, I wish, were more composed. But we Indians, will we be composed ever? As soon as the plane hits the tarmac people try and start taking the bags from the overhead bins!! The other most stupid thing:
People come into the aircraft with bags that should ideally be check in and they create a mess. Overhead bins are not meant for full luggage, but no many of the travellers have to carry their full luggage as carry-on bags. Dimwits.
The Airhostess in one of the flights was saying, "What to do, many of these people when we take objection, they start being rude and shout at us". And they feel helpless. I think @MoCA_GoI should take steps in this direction !!

A WA forward on what #YogiAdityanath has done for UP:
Last 5 years of UP:
Expressways started in 2008 when Mayawati started constructing Yamuna Expressway connecting Noida to Agra - It was her dream project of 166 KM. That’s UP for you 👏👏
then came Akhilesh Yadav who started Lucknow Metro and did 90% work on Agra - Lucknow expressway connecting Yamuna Expressway to Lucknow of 302 KM.

This came on WA. This is to all my friends....

In the last few years, we have heard on and off of people lost, some close and personal and some celebrities who were in their 40s and died because of doing too much to be "fit".
Unfortunately while they did look fit, six packs and all, the body was not really able to keep up on the inside with the rigor of the exercise regimen.

Sadly y'day Puneeth Rajkumar also gets added to this list. A good person gone too soon, gone too young!
In anything in life, MODERATION is the mantra. Any extreme of zero or 100 is not correct. A moderate amount of exercise, just about 20-30 minutes, eating while keeping nourishment in mind.

Ironies of democracy as done in two of the largest democracies.

Democracy was defined by Abe Lincoln as, "For the people, of the people and by the people". US amended to make it, "For the business, of the business and by the business".
The current state of democracy in India is like, "Far (away) from the people, off from the people and ...buy the people".
Legislature, Executive, Judiciary and Press were supposed to be 4 pillars of democracy. -
But all the 4 have forgotten the key enablers of Democracy: People, who are responsible in reposing faith in their elected representatives by electing them and have done a splendid job. But the latter have generally been treated like dirt and with disdain.

#healthinsurance #seniors #SeniorCitizens
@NandiniVenkate3 in her note, mentioned that being a Senior Citizen in India is scary. And I might add, "is tough as well". That tweet,
generated a lot of traction.
Let me try and address some part of it.
From a finance standpoint, There are 3 aspects of being a senior citizen: a. Health and Health Insurance Costs; b. A steady income from broad source of asset base. c. People who will put Vultures to shame and acting in the financial services industry space.
I will address the 1st part in this thread and why PM / must make an intervention.
Health Insurance to senior citizens is problematic. As they move into an age where they are faced with a prospect of reduced steady income, the demands on that money goes up.

Suprabhatham, friends!
Recently I had a Darshan of Bhagawan #Mahadeva's manifestation in the form of Shiva Lingam at Siddhanath Mahadev Mandir, located at Nemawar, Dt. Dewas, M.P.

The temple, located on the banks of River Narmada is exiquisite and gave me a divine feeling. ImageImage
It is said that this point, where the Mandir is located, is the Nabhisthal (Navel or midpoint) of River Narmada. One can say that in some ways, it lies between Mahakaal Jyotirling and Omkareshwar Jyotirling.

This temple is supposed to be about 3000+ years old. Image
According to Sthala Purana and the locals, there is a connection to the Mahabharata with this temple. This is one of the rare temples that faces the West. The story goes that one time the Kauravas and Pandavas challenged each other to build a temple in one night. ImageImage

Translation of tweet thread about life challenges by @SudhaRamenIFS. She is a self made person and one of the reasons as to why I admire her.
I dreamt of career in Medical, but got admission in BE, BioMedical. Then got married at 21 after which I joined Wipro. 2 years later, left the job, tried at JIPMER few times facing few hurdles. Then with a 1 year old child appeared and in the 1st attempt got through in IFS.
In 2012 alone, I appeared in various competitive exams. In not a single exam I studied or prepared for Science paper. Whatever I studied for entrance exam of medicals, served my purpose which I remembered very well.
